Glad nobody got DQ'd for tomorrow but I have a feeling it's going to be chippy.

Dominant win over a team we should dominate.

Colgate with 8 shots in the game.  Galajda with 0 saves in the first.

According to CHN, 9 shots, but still impressive.

that would be better if Colgate didn't score

upprdeck

there barely even carried the puck into the offensive end.. a few high lob passes and a couple times on the PP.. not much else.

Looked a lot like our women against Dartmouth today.

Certainly our best overall performance in weeks. If we play again tomorrow like that I'll feel like we've righted the ship which has been listing a bit.

Well, er, yes.

would love to see what angle the refs had to take away the goal in the 3rd with an offsides.. On the ESPN feed you cant see the puck when the cornell player crosses the line and the next time you see the puck its on the blue line and the player is a  ft or so over.. No idea if he went over and pulled it back to the blue line.

I cant believe that ESPN has an app in the browser mode with no slo mo or rewind functions.

I replayed that play, and I thought (at full speed) it was likely offside.

upprdeck

likely yup..  evidence no. slow it down and you still cant see the puck at the pt he crosses the line from the ESPN main feed.  They might have another feed from the other side but we never saw it

in the NHL, a couple weeks ago a goalie made a save, and the glove was on the line.. You could see he glove pocket move well behind the line but as the puck could not be seen it was ruled a save, where as logically you knew it went over the line.

It looked like a good goal to me.

I very much wanted Lee-hay's goal to count, but I'm going to guess that Barron was drawing the puck across his body within the width of the blue line. Thus, since the entire puck did not enter the zone before Bauld did, the play was offsides. We certainly can't see it from that camera angle; I hope the refs had something better than that with which to make their decision.

Still:

(1) Why is Barron making that move right on the blue line? Details!
(2) Bauld seems to be looking straight at the puck while he's moving into the zone. That makes me wonder. Once again, I hope the refs had a better angle.
(3) The non-goal yet illustrates, once again, my point that I think Leahy brings significant offense to the team when compared against Cairns. He seems to have a very good concept of the "possible" on shots instead of constantly going for the "ideal." I don't think I've seen him nail it into a block in any of his rare appearances this season.

Ok.  I misunderstood the rule book.  Thanks.
