A lot of these one horse towns no longer have legitimate sports sections.  Troy and Schenectady, for example.  Other reasons?

True. I would hope whoever writes for the Albany paper follows Union and RPI Hockey pretty closely in that the locals would care more about that than, say, the arena football league team, but I have no idea. Maybe Siena Basketball?

With regard to the Albany TU sports section,  I can attest it exists and occasionally has decent college hockey coverage.  I'm on no way an expert regarding their staff as I prefer watching the games to reading about them.
