It would be interesting if the prospects had ratings like the football 4-star ratings on Rivals.  I guess the closest we have are the CHL and USHL draft numbers and the Central Scouting rankings.

The number of views on the Elite Prospects profile is also interesting.  Look who's 89th.

Is that list so light on defensemen because it's a scoring list, or are our incoming classes actually that lean on d-men?

It's everybody.  I notice that Alex Green is no longer on Elite Prospects' list.  He is a D.  Hopefully that is an oversight and not a loss.

I have added Green above.

BRP no longer lists Ott or Booth as Cornell recruits.

Thanks.  With such a huge anticipated incoming class again next year (10 to replace 4 for a team that is already at a higher roster size than ever before) I assumed there must be several decommits.

I had completely forgotten BRPH does this.  Would have saved me the work.  :)  BRPH shows 5 incoming to replace 4.  That makes more sense.

Also, Kaldis both is a defender and has the highest ppg in the entire list. Most of his points are assists, but the numbers are still impressive. Does he play under unusual circumstances?

CAS

Kaldis is the highest scoring D-man in the entire BCHL.  Jeff Malott is averaging 1.6 pts/game, which appears to be the highest average in the entire AJHL.  LGR!

Kaldis will make a wonderful upgrade over Willcox......   I still can't figure out why Coach insists on playing Reece on the PP.  The guy has such an aversion to taking shots-on-goal.     Mike even acknowledges that that's a shortcoming....Aren't PP's intended for scoring goals??   The opponents have to know that he will NOT shoot at their goalie.   That must give them an advantage when defending him....    This boggles my mind....   Reece is a lock-down defenseman.   But, I will be glad to see an offensive minded d-man on the PP in the future.

Michael O'Leary has recently decommitted. Very possible he ends up in the QMJHL

OK. Who made sure Merrimack read this and planned accordingly before the game last night?

Those are words I don't mind eating....   But, stand by them, nonetheless!!

Brenden Locke of the Cobourg Cougars (OJHL) has committed to Cornell.  Per the Cougars' website he's a forward (Heisenberg has him at L/C) 16g-18a-30PIM in 41 games and is 5'10" and 176 lbs.
Congrats and welcome to Brenden.
