I have a 2003, he'd be glad to commit.  The way college commitments work these days maybe we'll announce it next week.  My 6'4" 2001 d-man might be a better fit though.  :-)

I had to train myself to stop saying "Luke, I am your father" with my best Vader falsetto because my 2003 has a teammate named Luke (awkward!).::starwars::

32-36-68 in 53 games.  EP shows him at 5-6 126.  Um. OK. Put him with Starrett and Tschantz.

collegehockeyinc's db  link lists him at 5' 8"  and 160 as a right shot center in first year in Juniors.

Neglect not the sound.  The final line appears to be "Betcha that's a proud moment for a parent."

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

It was nice to see the other players go to the fallen ref and see if he was okay.

And one of the players on the same team as the guy who hit the ref helped the other ref "subdue" him.

So a new recruit with a unique backstory:

Song, a defenseman, is a 2015 6th round pick of the Islanders.  Oddly he hasn't recorded a point or an assist this season in over 35 games with the Madison Capitols of the USHL, so I don't think we're looking at the next Yanni Kaldis.

I suspect our first prospect to have a Wikipedia page.

FWIW HFBoards pretty much calls Song a publicity draft pick that will have a tough time even dressing at Cornell.

Dafatone

Do teams really make publicity picks?

The Islanders might.

profudge

Hey the Islanders drafted him - they must see some potential.
He worked his way through 4 years of prep academics and hockey and got mostly A's.   His goal is to play in the NHL.

I look forward to watching him develop at Cornell!

In the 6th round? The Islanders are not the *best* organization but that would be nuts.

at least at cornell if he doesnt dress it really doesnt cost us a roster spot
