Cornell women crushed Clarkson, 8-3.  Clarkson has never given up eight or more goals in a game in program history.  Until tonight.

The highlight of the game was the two shorthanded goals scored during the same Clarkson power play in the first period to put Cornell ahead 2-1.

Must have been a heck of a game to watch. 8 goals on 26 shots. Ouch.

Most of the goals cleanly beat the (two) goaltender(s). Stunning performance by the Big Red, to be frank. I saw a number of players have the game of their careers--and none of them were Saulnier or Jenner (but those 2 shorthanded goals in quick succession were absolute killers). I think this is ample evidence that the past few weeks of practice have been highly productive. Could this team be deeper in talent than anyone had given them credit for?

Very much deeper than you would guess.   Veerman getting rolling after almost two years of no competitive hockey.  Jess Brown and Taylor Woods, who was moved to D, are both very under-rated.  Frosh Erin O'Connor learning fast and Amelia Boughn is a more than cpable back-up for Voorhees.  Etc., etc.

Four point weekend, with the hard-fought 4-2 win over a feisty St. Lawrence team! The Red played persistent hockey and had the better of the play, and got solid goaltending from Voorhees. The Saints also got good 'tending from senior Carmen MacDonald, who's been one of the ECAC's top goalies in the past several seasons. With this win, the Red move back to .500 overall and 5-2-0 in ECAC play, and now start their winter break on a high note. To my eyes, they played like a top-10 squad this weekend and showed lots of confidence. They've clearly got the potential to contend for a trophy this season. Looking up!

ROTM? Shouldn't take auto-correct long to make that into ROFL.

The women just dismantled BU 6-2; it was 6-0 until the very end of the 3rd period.  Either BU is way overrated at #4 or we were awesome because we pretty much dominated all over the ice.  Jenner passed 200 points [1-4? on the night] and 5 different players scored.  Vorheis kept us in it early and had an exceptional game.

They haven't lost since November, including 4 games against top 10 teams.

Finally on track after 3-6 start?

It's good to see that the women have woken up. I guess Doug's potion has finally taken effect.  :-)

Cornell up 1-0 at Yale after 2 periods on a beautiful goal by DeBruin with :25 left in the second. Based on what I've seen Yale outplayed us for most of the 2nd period

CU added an ENG to win 2-0.  I just caught the last few minutes but was impressed to see Yale produce a good highlight package they ran at the end of the game.  Apparently the women can't score on penalty shots either!

I saw most of the 2nd and 3rd periods, and we were fortunate to come out with the win in spite of a pedestrian performance.  But 2 points is 2 points.
