IIRC they won a D3 title.  I wonder how many teams have won NCAA games at multiple levels.  (Bemidji is another.)

I was checking out their hardware two weeks ago and saw a second place trophy but not the championship.

And I just checked online and could not find a Union Div III championship but rather a second place finish in 1984 or 1986 depending on the source.  It looks as if Plattsburgh had their second place finish vacated in 1986 and perhaps Union was third that year in the tournament.

Union looks confident and to be the better team. Representing the ECAC nicely through 5 periods. Here's hoping they can do so for at least 6.

Lowell scores to make it 3-2 on a very weird play where a Union player lost the puck going behind his net and it went right to a Lowell player who basically had a free shot since the goalie wasn't even looking in the right direction. If Lowell wins this game they can thank two really lucky goals.
