And the earliest other than 2002/2003 and years up to 1970.  Not bad company at all, especially with a clearly improved ECAC since '02/'03.

BTW, in PWR, Minn and DU switched places, putting us 5 corresponding to DU's 4. So we'd be in Amherst. Still to early to mean anything, but fun to watch!

Giffy

My friends and I were at the perfect angle in the front row for viewing the shot.  It clearly hit the post and bounced accross the crease.  It definately was not in, but certainly scared us.

Sorry this is late, but I am so proud of the Faithful.

We really were LOUD and together. There were several moments where the Hamilton elite just sat and stared at us in awe.

I hope to see more of that energy tonight!

We will do our best.  And let's hope Silverthorn wears his pink tights again. :-D
Is next year here yet?

Or if he doesn't you can ask him why he didn't.

Good article with detailed description of the goal.  Thanks for the link Jim.

BTW, we heard Swanee loud and clear on the feed, and it sounded excellent. :-)

The other difference is the way the puck bounces. We had some unlucky breaks in the first half of the season and some lucky breaks. Now they're going almost all our way. That we won all but one of our one-goal games (actually all but one of our games period) so far in 2005, that's luck and that's skill combined. Ditto if we win out the rest of the way. If we win all but say two the rest of the way, that's skill and the pendulum swinging the other way.

If we replayed that 1969-70 season but let one more butterfly flap its wings in Tokyo, maybe that year would have gone 27-1-1.

Iggulden is a clutch player, but he's also damn lucky. OTOH, Vermont was lucky to catch us when we were two goals up in the third before the New Year.

There are Colgate fans heading to Lynah? Just one unkind thought: If they drink like they allegedly did last night, is it possible they'll chuck their fish on the ice?

The 'Gate fans who travel are, on the whole, genuinely good fans.  The problem children are the ones who just saunter in to get out of the howling Hamilton wind and don't give a damn about hockey.

So be good hosts.  If you were insulted or thrown up on or whatever last night, it probably wasn't the folks you'll see in Section O.

But don't hesitate to remind Section O that it sucks, because it usually does.

the gate fans in section O were pretty old last time. hence, sparking the "you will die soon" cheer. sad, yes. amusing, yes.

Hey, that goes without saying.  ;-)
