Re: Matt Hughes goes to IC? - 22 years ago
I guess, if necessary, the story could be reprinted with the name David, instead of Matt, because he too missed a week of class. I don't know if he was back on Friday, though.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Game DQ for Palahicky - 22 years ago
That carries a suspension over to Friday, correct? I don't know about a game DQ for that, but I think Kotyra did a pretty poor job overall tonight. 2 goal differential was on him tonight (blowing the whistle extremely early in the first when Walsh let up a rebound, and a ticky-tack hooking call). After the 10 minute mark of the second, it started to get kinda rough out there and Kotyra's whistby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Vs SLU(t) (bitches) Friday 22/02/2002 - 22 years ago
Just an FYI.... They've had the insert for many of the past home weekends. As there was for 3 home football games in the fall.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Mr. T - 22 years ago
"That's just sour grapes," said Dan Tomaselli, a high school music teacher in Great Neck, N.Y. "The Russians, of all people, should keep their mouths shut." Uh-oh. The Russians have gone and done it. They've pissed off Mr. Tomaselli, and you do NOT want to get on his bad side!! May they feel the wrath! "Get....in...my....belly!"by Jordan 04 - Hockey

Oksana Baiul, in an MSNBC interview this morning, also thought the decision was clearly the correct one.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Wow!!!!!!! - 22 years ago
Guess the judges got it right for once.... Apparantly the Russians don't think so.... I don't know why the IOC and Mr. Rogge didn't see all of this coming when they gave the Canadians the gold, but that was a decision tha was clealy going to open up a can of worms, and has. The Russian Skating Federation plans on filing a formal protest, saying that Irina Slutskaya (sp?) should have been giveby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Good day for Cornell at the Olympics (spoilers) - 22 years ago
And it was also nice to hear Great Neck North mentioned. (sorry Jordan, couldn't resist) That's ok. I'll accept her as part of the broader Great Neck Public Schools....I guess. It sure has been intriguing over the last number of years reading often in Newsday about her progression....seeing profiles of her life growing up in Great Neck, going to North, etc. And we over at South need no Nby Jordan 04 - Hockey

Re: SLU(t) bulletin board fodder - 22 years ago
Yeah...that part is the one attention grabber. Well, if there's no doubt, then they should come out and whip us. If there's a doubt though....SLUt's in trouble...by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: SLU(t) bulletin board fodder - 22 years ago
IMHO, that quote is pretty tame for bulletin board material. I wasn't there, but we did seem to eek out a victory in that game. A hard-fought victory against them.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
This is not a poll - 22 years ago
Discuss amongst yourselves. The same poll was posted 3 times in about 10 seconds...by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Vermont, Feb 16 - 22 years ago
Well, I think they just realized that they had taken care of business last night, as they should have against Vermont, but there was probably some still some disappointment over not winning "the" game. There were still some smiles among the group, but after the Saturday game maybe they react to the weekend as a whole, rather than the game of the night. And the weekend, as a whole, wasby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Off Topic: Is it just me? - 22 years ago
Personally, I enjoyed the Latvia V. Slovakia hockey game last night. ............ All comments tongue-in-cheek, of course. I actually enjoyed it, non tongue-in-cheek. It was an extremely entertaining game to watch....everytime I tried to put my head down and attend to my work, it wasn't happening. Because one team always seemed to have a quality offensive chance. Re: Cornell vs Yale (Saturday) - 22 years ago
I'll say this about this team that I noticed starting with the Harvard game at Lynah East...they seem to have an ability to score when they have to...as if it is a concerted effort: "OK...we're going to score in the next few minutes...let's go." It sure makes things easier when contributions come from all lines and all times. Last year it was the case where if there wasn't a power plaby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: goalies - 22 years ago
I think it's been clear for a number of weeks now that if Schafer ever decided to go to one for the stretch run or playoffs it would be Underhill. LeNeveu would have to do something pretty damn special to unseat a senior goaltender who's top 5 in the nation. Come to think of it, #1 in the nation is "pretty damn special," but obviously Underhill has by no means lost his right to the hoby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: goalies - 22 years ago
ECAC is moving to a new playoff format next year. All 12 teams qualify for the playoffs. "Under the new format, all 12 teams will qualify for the playoffs and the top four finishers will earn a bye past the first round. Teams five through eight will host a first-round series against the bottom four teams. The winners of those series will then be reseeded to travel to the bye teams iby Jordan 04 - Hockey

Re: Twins, Part II - 22 years ago
Although, looking at the statistics page, they're also #1 and #2 on the team in scoring. 31-36-67 for Cam (47 GP). 20-39-59 for Chris (41 GP)by Jordan 04 - Hockey
