Discussions about sports other than hockey
Re: UWM-Fri. - 21 years ago
I don't see it either, but that wasn't really my point. I just don't think, as a coach, you can do it only up 4-1. If nothing else, it's an insult to the other team, and I don't know if Schafer will do that to his former squad.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: UWM-Fri. - 21 years ago
WHCU (the actual radio feed) feed does not seem to be working. I heard a legal ID and a single commercial, but other than that, nothing but silence for about the last three minutes. And they have the audacity to ask for $7 per mo... -- oh, never mind.by Jordan 04 - Hockey

26-17 Syracuse with 9:47 in the first half.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: "Kicked In" Goal - 21 years ago
And with the aid of a picture, I reiterate my sentiments from the day of the game... Awfully tough for us to kick it in when our man isn't even facing the goal. Maybe it deflected off us indavertantly....I think even more likely, a BU guy was the one to touch it...But overall, I don't see anyway the call could have been an intentional kick-in on us.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Jack Parker - 21 years ago
Probably just knowing Marr from his days at Northeastern. Meeting during the HE regular season and Beanpot, Parker is probably familiar with Todd.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-BU (Sunday) - 21 years ago
I thought McCrae was going to stop that guy He pretty much did. Maybe somewhat illegally from behind, but he definitely was riding Mullen when the goal was scored. From my angle, it seemed like Mullen was pretty much on his stomach and swung at the puck while lying on the ground, putting it past Lenny. 50% good job staying with the puck, 50% luck.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Hansen the Amazing... - 21 years ago
What the point of all of those are, I'm not quite sure (except for Hornby, who was definitely involved in some extra-curriculars...with Maiser or Whitney, I forget), but I do give Hansen credit for controlling the game in the 3rd and not letting thing get out of hand....e.g., the roughing that Palahicky drew (very nicely, I might add) by letting the BU get in a few jabs to his face, the roughingby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Saturday BU updates - 21 years ago
Before we go and get too cockey here, let's remember that we beat BU's freshman second string goalie (who's never even made a HEA start). Which begs the question....why the heck was he in there?by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Saturday BU updates - 21 years ago
And the Non-Goal was a deflection off the skate...no kicking motion.

Re: 11/18 uscho.com poll - LMAO - 21 years ago
Damn. I was a couple seconds away from posting this. And with the same comments, too... Looks like Minn. and BU dropping facilitated us moving up, but the dropping after 2 dominating wins last week and moving up after losing this weekend certanly has me surprised tooby Jordan 04 - Hockey

I don't think Mr. James is too concerned with what and will not make him ineligible for college ball....by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Harvard(sucks) @ Lynah - 21 years ago
Yeah, we have an advantage over them but it's definitely not an unfair one. It certainly is. But that's what makes it so much funby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Yale/Princeton thoughts - 21 years ago
- Does anyone else get the impression that Doug really wants to put one in the net? I don't know. Maybe his slamming his stick against the ice after he failed to put home any of his half-dozen slappers during the 5 on 3 was just because his dry cleaning wasn't done in timeby Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Yale/Princeton thoughts - 21 years ago
Shafer may have used 7 D-men because Downs was playing forward on the penalty kill. Was that the whole game? I only noticed it until the last few minutes, and then I thought it was in an attempt to assure a shutout for Lenny.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
Re: Yale/Princeton thoughts - 21 years ago
Yes. I certainly don't recall Bell centering any lines. We dressed 7 D-Men.by Jordan 04 - Hockey
