Re: Louis Chabot- Senior Weekend - 18 years ago
I feel for Chabot, and admire him staying with the team playing so little for so long. According to USCHO, though, Chabot has played 2 min. 58 sec in his Cornell career.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Polls 10/10 - 18 years ago
Just wait till next week when the whole team washes thier jerseys in special super cleaner! We'll sparkle then!by JordanCS - Hockey

jmh30 Wrote: Jason Elliott remains with the same club he played for last year in Germany: I might have to go see him play! I live about an hour and a half from that team, but unfortunately, all of their home games are on Fridays, and away games are on Sundays....and I can't make it from work to the game in time on Friday. Suck. Anyway, I'll have to try and get to a game sometime....I'by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Slope Day - tix for alumni - 19 years ago
Glad I was there under the wire....having graduated in 2001, I never got to see this horrible incarnation. Of course, my first slope day was the first that they wired off the top of the hill and I think they started banning glass either that year or the next.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: CU-Minnesota Game Thread - 19 years ago
No shots on the PP. Ugh...we need to change momentum big time. At least this period is better than the first so far.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: CU-Minnesota Game Thread - 19 years ago
The color guy is basically "let's put a fan in the chair and watch how he reacts." CU PPby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: #4 Maine vs #1 Minn Game Thread - 19 years ago
Are there audio feeds for either of the games going on, or the CU game later?by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Quit BITCHING about seeding - 19 years ago
Here's the thing...if we were the 4th number 1, and Minn. was the first number 2, we'd be the number 1 seed in.....probably Minnesota! The only change is we play OSU instead of Maine in the first round. Not worth complaining over.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 2, Vermont 0, 3rd - 19 years ago
This is just kind of scary: McKee has now put up a shutout in 7 of the last 12 games he's played. Wow.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 St. Lawrence 2 (OT) postgame thread (not scores updates) - 19 years ago
No, the Cleary Cup goes to the RS champion, but it doesn't mean anything. The ECAC champion is the Tourny champ, and that's it.by JordanCS - Hockey
The Miracle...I'd love to see it. - 19 years ago
I was too young to remember the 1980 Miracle on Ice (25th anniversary!), being only 3, and I would so very much love to see the whole broadcast. Of course, I've seen the film, and I've seen clips from the game, but I have never seen the whole thing.... I'm of course wondering why they haven't released it in a box set or something on DVD, but until then, anyone know where I could get a copy ofby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Polls 2/21 - 19 years ago
I like the respect the program is getting, but I have to feel we are being overrated. We have played a pretty weak schedule, especially the last few games, while the WCHA teams are beating each other up. If I had to put us somewhere, I'd put us around 4th or 5th. If I had my way, I'd like to win the ECAC, and go to the tourny as a #1 seed, but as the 4th number 1, so we can kind of sneak up onby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Lynah Rink Panorama Print - 19 years ago
I don't blame Age for charging that much, just that it is too expensive for me. I'm sure the quality is outstanding, and picture is obviously fantastic. Perhaps someday there will be a 'second edition,' and I'll be able to afford it (since I'm sure these 100 will be sold out soon).by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Lynah Rink Panorama Print - 19 years ago
Beautiful photo, Age, but I have to second the too pricey comment. At $45 or so, maximum, I'd get one, especially since they are not coming framed. Framing alone for that print (for a decent frame) is going to cost at least $100, and if you get a really nice frame, that's around $250 total, print included. Too rich for my blood.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Undefeated - 19 years ago
That turnover is also indelibly etched in my mind as well. One of my earlier games, and I was pumped for the up ice rush, and then it was all over so quickly.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Photos from Sacred Heart Game - 19 years ago
Wow, Age...quite a bit of $$ on your equipment. I'm unaware of the grain on high ISO B&W prints, but on color negative or slide film, I've seen pretty grainy results at high ISO. Most of the current digital SLRs, including yours, have considerably less noise at equivalent ISO to color film, from the comparisons that I've seen. (one quick mention is an article on digital SLRs by Peter Dulis,by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Photos from Sacred Heart Game - 19 years ago
Larry...Wow...at ISO 1600 you must have had an incredible amount of film grain. That's such an advantage in today's digital SLRs...you can push the ISO to 800 or 1600 and still have very usable images with a minimum of noise. Age...what camera are you using, and with what lens? Do you use a monopod, or just hand hold?by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: new cornell "logo" - 19 years ago
I noticed that the red is darker than the pads in the photo, but if they got darker pads or a more CU red color, I wouldn't mind having them as a permanent 3rd jersey...I actually really like them. Maybe I'm weird, but I think they look classy. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: [OT] Olympic gold medal flap vs. Fifth Down game - 19 years ago
My two cents: Piersol's turn was nowhere near illegal. He did absolutely nothing wrong. I was a competitive swimmer for 8 years, and I watched the replay and said 'what?' Yeah, he was a bit further from the wall than usual, and thus had a slightly delayed flip turn, but that's not illegal...only if he is laboring to get to the wall on his stomach, which he wasn't...he just came in a bit off stby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: OT - "Best Sports Cities" - 19 years ago
Yeah, I was shocked that Canton wasn't listed either. (of course, being from there, I had some interest). Just the Massillon-Canton football rivalry is enough to take on smaller colleges and stuff. The whole town is football crazy, though the lack of any serious college athletics does reduce its fervor.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Suggested cheer: Mr Cellophane - 19 years ago
I'd propose a few alternate words, though, specifically: 'Cause you can shoot right through him, and skate right by him Yes, I know you can see through cellophane and not shoot through it (well, you could, it's pretty flimsy), but it makes more hockey sense.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Jordan - is this you? - 19 years ago
Nahhh...must be a fan in Iraq...I'm in Kuwait. (I go home in 2 weeks! WOO HOO!) I think that picture has had more sayings on it than any other in recent history.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: [Announcement] Voices of the Faithful - 20 years ago
Well, I'm in Kuwait right now, and they were likely shipped to my address in Germany (APO), I'd assume (maybe), but i honestly can't remember if I preordered. I guess if it doesn't show up there in a month or so, I guess I'll order again. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: [Announcement] Voices of the Faithful - 20 years ago
What if I can't remember if I preordered or not? (Yes, it's been that long...)by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Murray in the lineup? - 20 years ago
Well, don't know if this means anything, but CNNSI has him listed on the Sharks roster, but without a number and 'inactive' starred next to his name.by JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Semi #2 BC vs. Maine - 20 years ago
I want no overtime and 2 goals scored by Denver. Other than that, I'm OK. That said, you have to hand it to Howard...watching him play is just amazing. I'd have to say, he's likely a better goaltender than Lenny was last year....but I still don't want Lenny's record to fall so soon. Jordanby JordanCS - Hockey
Re: Clarkson SUCKS! - 20 years ago
It is quite sad that it didn't sell out. If I weren't in Kuwait (and aside from that, Germany), I'd be there...I'm just bummed that this will be the first year since '95-'96 that I haven't been to at least one CU game. LGR!by JordanCS - Hockey
