Re: Lacrosse 2012-2013 - 10 years ago
ugarte billhoward If we had an all-round attackman on the second or third team snubbed by the elevation of a goals-oriented attackman, we would make the same argument in favor of our all-rounder. The voters may have seen a player whose production fell off in the 2012 season without Pannell feeding him. ugarte nyc94 A few years ago I came across something that said the highest paid employee of Cornell was a fertility specialist at the med school who was pulling in over $3 million a year. Paid by THE SCHOOL? Or by private clients or subsidized by research grants? I can see how a fertility specialist can generate a lot of outside income. I think this is the article I read years ago: It saysby nyc94 - Other Sports

Highest Paid Public Employee for Each State - 10 years ago
I don't know if this came up already but as expected it's usually basketball or football coaches with a few college presidents or medical school deans thrown in. Except - New Hampshire where it's the hockey coach. Comments mention "No Hardware".by nyc94 - Other Sports

css228 nyc94 Women win Outdoor Heps. Men finish second to Princeton. I don't watch much track but if the women win with 145 points, what does it say about Yale that they managed only 10 in finishing last? Yale men also last by a good margin. Like usual it means that there are a few teams are really stacked and the rest of the league isn't very good, especially on the Men's side where in tracby nyc94 - Other Sports

Chris '03 Copy cats: NH Register Yale and Harvard will take their ancient rivalry to the bright lights of The Big Apple next season. The schools have signed a deal to play each other at New York's Madison Square Garden on Jan. 11, the Register has learned. Edit: with this game, Yale will play all of 4 OOC games next year: UVM, SHU, Merrimack, Holy Cross. Yikes. Anyone want to wager oby nyc94 - Hockey

Scersk '97 judy Yale ties! And I'm torn! It'd be nice to have the last WCHA team kicked out and at the same time, Yale goes to Pittsburgh. Ummm... St. Cloud? Not NCHC yet! I can live with St. Cloud. Sioux fans are too arrogant.by nyc94 - Hockey

kingpin248 And since I have the spreadsheet set up to handle a 16-team bracket, here are the probabilities for the NCAA hockey tournament. I think something is wrong with your numbers. You're showing that teams from outside the WCHA have a chance and based on comments on USCHO that simply isn't possible.by nyc94 - Hockey

Rita nyc94 Colorado College beats Minnesota 2-0. As Adam just posted in the pairwise blog, there are a lot of "bid-stealers" this year and BU is doing its best to be one too. Just went up 4-2 on BC, and BU still has 4+ min left on a 5 min pp. BU scores again on a PP, 5-2. Edit: 5-3 now. 3:58 remaining. BC going on the PP.
