Re: Cornell @ Clark - 11 years ago
Trotsky The one incontestable fact is that losing 7 of 8 irritates everybody. More fun facts from the ECAC blog on USCHO: USCHO The Big Red are baffled by their first five-game losing streak since the fall of 1999, which was also the last time the program failed to finish at .500 in either league play or overall. The Ithacans are 1-8-0 in their last nine games, and 2-8-0 since the holiday brby nyc94 - Hockey

ursusminor nyc94 Dartmouth and Quinnipiac are 3 and 4, respectively, in Pairwise. Yale is 7 and Cornell 12. Union is 16 and would be out of the tournament if the season ended today due to Atlantic Hockey autobid. As much as I root against Union, 16th is currently in the tourney because RMU of the AHA is 13th. My bad. I had only been paying attention to Niagara. RMU really moved up this weby nyc94 - Hockey

andyw2100 For some reason the CHN mobile app isn't showing the Qunnipiac game as even taking place. The CHN website has the game listed in the "live scoreboard" section, but with no score. I checked the free video, available below, and Qunnipiac is up 4-3 heading into the third. No updates on USCHO either. QU up 5-4 about halfway through the 3rd on Livestats:by nyc94 - Hockey

Trotsky Robb Neither are two losses to Vermont and Mercyhurst. Ouch. Thanks for nothing, North Country! Sucky weekend of results for Cornell so far. Michigan, Ferris and CC lose, Denver ties Bemidji, and the North Country drop a pair of NC games. Michigan salvaged a split with Western Michigan. CC was swept by St. Cloud. Denver dropped their second game with Bemidji. Ferris is now tby nyc94 - Hockey
Re: HARVARD SUCKS - 11 years ago
RichH Some are taking a break from sucking. During its 19-day stretch between games, a handful of players were removed from Harvard’s official roster, which was smaller Friday night than it had been at the season’s start. “Some guys had to take a year absent,” Girard said. “I won’t say any names, but like any other team, we might have some problems with the academic scandal. Trotsky nyc94And Harvard kicks things off with a 5-0 loss at home to Lowell thus dropping Harvard off the bubble and down to 23 while making Lowell a TUC. Massachusetts HE opponent. They're just getting in form for the Beanpot. Unfortunately for them, that's all they have left on their non-conference schedule: Northeastern and BU followed by BC in the first round of the Beanpot and the Beanpby nyc94 - Hockey

Re: ECAC OOC Performance 12-13 - 11 years ago
Robb So far, the ECAC has only played 61 inter-conference games (as distinct from non-conference games) and has 37 remaining. I came up with 39 remaining interconference games (ignoring Union-RPI non-conference game). Of those, only 15 are against current TUCs (16 depending on outcome of Beanpot first round). At least 7 (up to 9 depending on holiday tournament outcomes) against the WCHA, 17 (by nyc94 - Hockey

billhoward Cornell FG with a minute to play. Wow! A gimme last year was an amazing kick this year. Too much time left although Princeton has no timeouts left. Edit: Nevermind. Cornell interception should end this.by nyc94 - Other Sports

billhoward There's got to be a pony in there somewhere department: Announcers note that despite Cornell's missed PAT, with Princeton up 35-34 now, to look at the bright side, "Cornell is only a field goal away from taking the lead." That fantasy field goal would have to be as the clock expired.by nyc94 - Other Sports
Re: Football: Princeton 28 at Cornell 34, 3rd - 11 years ago
billhoward Now we're having trouble kicking from PAT distance. Ouch! We'll need to go for 2 in a couple minutes when we get our next TD. The kicking game was pretty awful when I was in school. Seemed we had accuracy or distance but rarely both.by nyc94 - Other Sports
