Re: ECAC 2014-15 - 9 years ago
BearLover Jim Hyla So after watching last night's game, I have to say, Harvard looks like the real thing. Their offense is very good, their defense is so-so, but if Michalek plays the rest the season like he has started, they will be very difficult to beat. Didn't watch the game, but they were outshot 42-24. Great teams don't get outshot almost 2-to-1. Yale and Union winning the past two yearsby Towerroad - Hockey
Re: HARVARD SUCKS - 9 years ago
Trotsky French Rage Dutchman Harvard just beat BC 6-3. Not sure Harvard Sucks anymore .... Of course they did. It's not a Beanpot game.Or an NCAA game. Harvard Sucking has nothing to do with their athletic prowess or lack thereof. It is existential.by Towerroad - Hockey
Re: cornell - quin sat night - 9 years ago
dwakelin First, I think we have a regit goalie in Mitch. He is keeping us in games. We don't get offense minded recruits because of the system. Third in the country presently in team defense and dead last in offense. Outshot 19-1 in last period is ridiculous. Stats are for losers usually but these don't lie. I am a Shafer fan but this style of hockey is outdated especially with current ruleby Towerroad - Hockey

Robb In the CHN boxscore, it shows our 3rd goal as "COR 3-2 6x6 GW LL" What does LL stand for? I've been watching hockey a long time, but can't figure that one out. Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Lana Lane.by Towerroad - Hockey
Re: Cornell academic program coordinator may have played role in UNC scandal . . . - 9 years ago
Jim Hyla And my point is that none of us have any idea about her hiring, contract or not. So none of us can make any statement, based upon facts, about what Cornell can do. I forgot that Al Gore invented the internet soley for the purpose of diseminating verifyalby true statements and that idle conjecture and speculation is strictly forbidden. My bad, I hope the fine is not too big.by Towerroad - Other Sports

Jeff Hopkins '82 Towerroad Finally, I think it would be healthy if the NC AG began investigating with an eye towards prosecution. A dean or AD or two doing the perp walk would be a real wake up call for an incredibly corrupt system. That'll never happen. Think about all of the income that comes into North Carolina every Saturday afternoon (or every time there's a basketball game). Nobody wantby Towerroad - Other Sports

Towerroad dbilmes I wonder what Ed Marino has to say about this. I am not sure why Ed Marinaro's opinion should carry any more weight than anyone elses (his $ are a different matter). I am certain that most if not all the current and former players would object to this course of action but that does not necessarily mean it is a bad idea. Chris '03 Towerroad Should we just throw in the towel on Football? 9 winning seasons since 1980. Columbia does not play hockey or lax, Penn does not play hockey. What are your expectations - Women - 9 years ago
Polls do not necessarily capture what each of us expects from the team. So here is the question, What performance metrics would lead you to say "I am satisfied with the teams performance" this year? Here is my list: 1. Beat Sucks 2. Frozen 4 3. League Average Penalty Min 4. Beat Sucksby Towerroad - Hockey

Re: How far with the Men Go? - 9 years ago
RichH Also, there's no option for "2nd Round ECAC playoff." 1st Round BYE simply means finish 1-4 in the regular season. If somebody thinks they'll finish 5-12, and make it to round 2 but lose that series, there's no choice. It's now in the team's best interest not to do that, is all I'm saying. Re: How far with the Men Go? - 9 years ago
Beeeej Perhaps this is a silly question, but there might be someone out there with a quixotic opinion that they can't express via this poll, so - why did you include "the promised land" as an option in the women's poll but not the men's?
