Re: Who sits...? - 17 years ago
oceanst41My gut tells me Krueger. I sometimes feel like I notice him too much on the defensive end of the ice, for turnovers not takeaways. That could be the result of added pressure of playing a large role on defense. I mean look at Seminoff last year. Thrust in as a freshmen logging a lot of minutes he couldn't stop taking penalties. This year he is playing #1 type defense, although I admit theby Chris '03 - Hockey

nyc94How long until Harvard is mathmatically eliminated from the (unimportant) Ivy League title hunt? At 0-5, it takes 3 Cornell (4-1) points. Or any other team to hit 11 points. Cornell 8 pts/5 GP (max 18 pts) Dartmouth 7/5 (17) Yale 4/3 (18) Brown 2/3 (16) Princeton 2/2 (18) Harvard 0/5 (10)by Chris '03 - Hockey
QU 2 @ Harvard 4 (F) - 17 years ago
If you're in New England or have sports pack, the Bobcats/Crimson game is on NESN live now. It's 2-2 early in the second. EDIT: Hobey Biega makes it 3-2 Harvard. 2 min to play in the second. EDIT: H takes a dumb penalty. QU PP with 2 and change to play. Final edit: Harvard ENG, 4-2 final. First home ECAC win for the Crimson.by Chris '03 - Hockey
Re: Cornell beats Army in Hoops, 65-56 - 17 years ago
From the Way Way Way Too Early Department, Cornell leads the Ivies in RPI at #32 (thanks in part to Stony Brook(!!) being #28. And Brown got destroyed by Northwestern last night. Next year, with the solid core returning and Jabber hitting the road, the door is wide open for the Red to have a great season.by Chris '03 - Other Sports
Other Tuesday Scores - 17 years ago
In other news, Harvard lost to BU 2-1 (Crimson now a dominating 2-7 on the season), and Yale played a weird 4-4 draw with Mercyhurst (check out the scoring in the box score: ). Yale now 6-1-1.by Chris '03 - Hockey

nyc94Harvard lost. . . again. 1-6 ECACHL, 2-6 overall, 0-4 Ivy, and at BU on Tuesday. I bet they're psyched for exams. Too bad they don't get to take exams until the end of January!by Chris '03 - Hockey

RitaEarly first no score. Andy Noel would be having a fit... THUNDERSTICKS! I think Thundersticks would go against Noel's (apparent) mission to have as subdued a crowd as possible at Cornell athletic events as possible. I disagree... I see Andy as very much a thunderstix guy. It drowns out creativity and vulgarity.by Chris '03 - Hockey

TrotskyThe "Love Boat" theme? Wasn't that off the air 10 years before the current seniors were born? As opposed to say 80% of the Cornell band's work? Would you really prefer what they spin at places like Brown? I'd rather hear the love boat than be asked who let the dogs out.by Chris '03 - Hockey

Talking and Dancing?! - 17 years ago
I didn't know volleyball was a Puritan sport. From the v-ball thread: Willy '06Unfortunately Dan (the guy with a C on his chest) is in fact a senior. Will, the U, is also a senior. And I, the guy with the red and white striped jacket am an alum but dating a junior on the team (so one more year!) The dancing tradition was started with Pat... a high jumper on the track team... and was much more suby Chris '03 - Other Sports

Little Win for Men's Basketball (ok, Beeej?) - 17 years ago
Hoops holds off Stony Brook 76-72 in the home opener tonight. They shot 67% in the first and 33% in the second. Yikes. They can't shoot 33% for a half and expect to compete in the 14 games that count.by Chris '03 - Other Sports
Re: Dartmouth @ Cornell -Post Game Comments 11/11/06 - 17 years ago
It seems the general consensus is that the team played well on Saturday but couldn't get any breaks. Am I the only one who disagrees? Sure they outshot DC, but it's not like the Green were playing particularly well. The second half of the game was sloppy on all sides. Devine made a couple of good saves to hold the lead, but it's not as if he stood on his head. I came away thinking Cornellby Chris '03 - Hockey
