I would think that Riley would be well aware of the condition of his older brother and that if he hasn't jumped ship yet, it won't happen this year. But hey, what do I know... Re: NCAA Lax Semis - Cornell 11 @ Duke 12 (FINAL) - 16 years ago
I just experienced one of the most disappointing things ever. I hadn't seen the game (somehow my parents thought that a little thing like a degree ceremony was more important than me watching the game) so I had a friend of mine record it for me. I finally settled down to watch the game tonight. Long story short... the video ended at the 1:24 mark of the 4th (I believe it was a commercial break foby nr53 - Other Sports

Re: Duke to forfeit games to Georgetown and Mount St. Mary's - 17 years ago
The author definitely has a flair for the dramatic but the 5th paragraph amuses me the most: Most of the Ivy League despise the thought that Duke is trying to be something it's not: one of them. In the Ivies' minds, Duke is a poser, striving to emulate an image Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Stanford, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, and the University of Pennsylvania spent centuries developing. kroseAl DeFlorioIs that Kyle's company? I will not speak for my company in any official capacity. Akamai distributes the bits from one or two well-connected servers, through our network, to media servers distributed around the globe. All of that infrastructure is used by hundreds of companies every day, and is *rock-solid*: it is public information that all of MLB.tv, for instance, is servedby nr53 - Other Sports

While procrastinating this afternoon, the following page was brought to my attention by my housemate: CSTV Case Study So maybe CSTV was just a bit too ambitious with their idea (they gave the company 4 months to design everything), but in any case it is interesting to see that they are outsourcing All-Access to another company.by nr53 - Other Sports

Re: 2007 TBRW Awards - 17 years ago
DeltaOne81nr53 From what I saw in A, Seminoff bumped into a Q player on the way off and basically got mobbed by celebrating players up against the boards. Gotta love the ref standing 10 feet away and not doing anything to stop it. Wow, that's an impressively biased interpretation I was watching on All Access and he didn't 'bump' him, he checked him hard into the boards after the goal was scby nr53 - Hockey

WillRApologies in advance for the obvious thread drift but who the hell was in the middle of that hostile pile and how on earth did we end up with the extra man in the box from that debacle? It seemed like one of our players was getting mugged while the rest of the team went to the bench and only when the next shift got on the ice did anything happen to resolve a situation the referees were indiby nr53 - Hockey

Liz '05Tub(a)You kids and your crazy facebook schemes. I could never imagine using the facebook for hockey related taunting purposes Seriously. You young'uns need to go past the poking and dig deeper into their profiles. Find some pictures of, say, a bunch of Clarkson players in a small hot tub (or something). BMacI sit behind RazzBaronZ, and I remarked to him during Dartmouth that I've lost a significant part of my enjoyment for the games: the ability to be obnoxious. I never swear; however, I've had to stop being so loud and annoying because there's an usher next to our row (I'm on the A-B aisle) the ENTIRE GAME, all the time. It's really a killer, because they just STARE at you every time somethingby nr53 - Hockey

krosenr53I thought it was a slight moral victory, second only to the guy who got tossed flipping us all off as he went into the locker room. DafatoneNash has been out of position occasionally, and caught flat-footed as guys go by him. But he's made some very good plays when he gets positioned right, and handles the puck very, very well for a large defenseman. A comparison to Pokulok isn't all that off, though I'm not sure he's at that level yet. His skating reminds me the most of Pokulok, it looks effortless in the way that alwaysby nr53 - Hockey

ugarteJim HylaBut once the game is over, all negativity toward one another should cease.I don't know, Jim. I think there is a reasonable post-game gloating period. It shouldn't include, say, needling on the handshake line or jumping on the other team's logo at center ice but an ironic salute to the crowd that has been riding you all game seems appropriate (if not ideal) to me. Re: Lay off Andy Noel? - 17 years ago
billhoward As athletic director, Andy Noel has a lot of constituencies to serve. Maybe it's hard to juggle them all. There are probably a lot worse people who could be running the athletics department. I will give you the fact that it's very hard to please everyone especially when they all have different needs/wants. jtwcornell91nr53My group in A received a ton of glares from them for just wearing the Harvard Sucks shirts we made. Some people were made to take off/cover up articles of Harvard Sucks clothing. las224ebilmesdre1614Can anyone give me their thoughts on Romano so far this season? I've seen him a couple times with the NY Bobcats. After the game we were walking down College Av when some guy asked us the score. We ended up talking to him for a bit and he told us that his brother had been thrown out of B for throwing fish even when he hadn't brought fish so that he wouldn't be thrown out. I hate it how some ushers are nice but the rest are complete jack offs who love nothing more than throwing people out. My group in A receiby nr53 - Hockey

I also loved the one where Scott got called for interference when Romano's stick was solidly being held by a Sucks player 10 feet in front of the ref. McCutcheon had a few nice moves too, making a nice strip and getting a few good looks. Edit: Jack Christian is a goon. I don't even know why he had a stick, he never seemed to even try to play the puck.by nr53 - Hockey
