Re: Noel's take on Fish - 17 years ago
“I think our administration has done a good job, because at one point in time it was out of control,” Schafer said. “But Cornell students won’t be denied and if they want to do it they’re going to find some creative way of doing it. As long as they don’t cost us a penalty, that’s the biggest thing.” Sounds like an "ok" to meby nr53 - Hockey
Re: No (now yes) All-access for harvard - 17 years ago
yip_eeeFor those people that haven't signed up for all-access, take a look at .be/?go=maxtv (click the Téléchargez MaxTV Online to download it) Its a french IPTV application that has CSTV as one of its channels. I tried it out and the video quality is pretty decent. The Belgian side of me is offended by thatby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Hahvahd: when to arrive? - 17 years ago
KeithKRobbmore importantly, when will Harvard's team bus arrive? We should already be lined up at the door...Throw fish at the bus as it drives up? Wow I'm happy to not be the only terrible person to think of thatby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 5 @ Yale 2 (3rd) - 17 years ago
The announcers kept saying how big our team is but our average hight is still smaller than Yale's. Good seeing that we're considered fast thoughby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Macho lady busted - 17 years ago
the motion is more of an addition than the actual dance, but I agree that it falls under the "ohmygodican'tbelievethey'reactuallydoingthisbutishouldhaveseenitcoming" categoryby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Macho lady busted - 17 years ago
from what I saw, it was never actually flipping the other team off, just the general motion with her arms.by nr53 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Robert Morris 1 - 17 years ago
nobody has really mentioned this, but I thought our power play was particularly worthless tonight. I was excited watching the game last week in which lots of productive passing occurred in the offensive zone (and yes RMU is slightly better than York but I think the point still holds) but this weeks version was bland, even boring with the perimeter passes and the one timer from the blue line.by nr53 - Hockey
Tickets to Princeton game in November - 17 years ago
Does anyone know the status of tickets to the game? The Princeton site doesn't have it listed anywhere so can I assume that they're sold out? If thats the case, are there any still available through our ticket office?by nr53 - Hockey
Re: Semi OT: Yale Hockey/Football players get in fight - 17 years ago
In addition to the arrests being removed from their records, Polhemus said, those involved were not fined and did not need to pay Gourmet Heaven for the property damage caused by the fight.by nr53 - Hockey
Re: Reminder - Hockey Ticket Preregistration - 17 years ago
And here I was hoping that athletics would be cool and start from 1 so I could take advantage of my #46 senior line number. I'm happy that I got one (yay for 4 years of tickets), but a few of my friends missed out so that really sucks overall.by nr53 - Hockey
Re: ECAC preseason polls - 17 years ago
I expect we're about where we should be, maybe a spot too high. The incoming freshmen look pretty good on paper but I'd hesitate to think that they will immediately produce as much as last year's seniors. You're (obviously) right about the defense, it still makes me nervousby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Pettit - 17 years ago
Did you really have to go back over 30 years to find a good example of this?by nr53 - Hockey

Why is it that our little blurb sounds so pathetic compared to RIP and MIT? Gahh! One comic strip shouldn't bother me as much as thisby nr53 - Hockey

Re: Mission Accomplished - who's on first? - 18 years ago
Meh. I'm from Jersey and as far as I know (no thats not very much) judges are appointed there.by nr53 - Other Sports
Re: Mission Accomplished - who's on first? - 18 years ago
The way I see it, if you're being elected for your job then you're a politician. Judges are appointed so that would obviously make them not a politician but DA's shake hands and kiss babies just like any politician.by nr53 - Other Sports

Re: [MLax] Poll, 4/10 - 18 years ago
They probably shouldn't have but considering that its a poll i guess some people thought that they're a good team. Still, it seems dumb to vote for a team that isn't even playing. Short answer: no.by nr53 - Other Sports
Re: Lynah Rink Renovation Blog - 18 years ago
Found an interesting quote on CHN when looking at a link posted on another thread Meanwhile, Cornell's famed Lynah Rink is undergoing expansion, something that started literally the day after Cornell won its ECAC playoff series with Clarkson. The ambitious project, which mainly focuses on improving the locker room and weight facilities, is expected to be done in time for the start of next seasonby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Throwing things - 18 years ago
I don't know if there's an actual rule, I would just personally avoid physically giving an opponent something. Mocking from afar is more my style (I'm quite the passive-agressive type).by nr53 - Hockey
Re: How I might die - 18 years ago
David HardingA crazed man in a hardware store fatally attacks you with a large wrench. Much worse than an axe. oh yeah? I was beaten to death in a hardware store by a guy with a large hose... not really sure if I'm proud that my death will be weirder but hey I guess I can prepare for the inevitable now.by nr53 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Throwing things - 18 years ago
I agree not to throw stuff and think the cheer would be great. I see another use for clipboards though. Their function is to clip onto things (or rather have stuff be clipped onto them) so what if we clip a bunch of them to the top of the glass during warm ups and before the game in front of A and B. That and the chant would probably have a really good effect.by nr53 - Hockey
Re: 2006 TBRW Awards -- Nomination Phase - 18 years ago
Natyshak-Paolini (career improvement) - Pegs I know McCutcheon had an amazing year, but this is improvement over career. I hope to hell he can improve upon this year and really become a force on the ice. MacFarlane (transcendent beauty and skating prowess) - McCutcheon Shippel-Hornby (scrappiness and effort) - Scott Gage (supporting role) - Gleed Made some really good plays all year long, gladby nr53 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Wisconsin postgame thread (post-season thread?) NCAA semifinal 2006 - 18 years ago
Amazing game. Period. McKee almost looked even better than last year, other than a few really bad rebounds but we were able to clear them. I'm "happy" with the way the season ended. The team played two DAMN good games. I don't think anyone can say we were completely outplayed in this game. Momentum swung back and forth a lot. My main dissapointment was the unimaginative slap shot thaby nr53 - Hockey
