Weird game for Moulson. 3 power play points but -3 at even strength.by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Honestly, does anyone think that he has played well this year?by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: New recruit - 11 years ago
Agreed but playing four years of high school hockey without any junior hockey is rarely a successful route to D1, particularly in NY state.by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: New recruit - 11 years ago
SwampyChris Heisenberg doesn't even list him among northeastern players. This seems to imply (1) Hamilton is really flying under the radar, (2) high-school hockey in Syracuse isn't very high level and Hamilton's stats don't mean much, or (3) he's going to the OHL. Re. (2), remember Matt Connors? Lighting it up in upstate NY high school hockey doesn't guarantee success (and having seen a lot of yby RatushnyFan - Hockey

Does anyone know if Dave owns the building? I spent a lot of time there. Maybe I'll buy it with some Cornell buddies. I'd be much more interested if he owns the building. Probably not a good investment, but a good excuse for me to get to Ithaca more than once a year. Re: Alumni in the Pros:February - 11 years ago
He's 18th in terms of goals scored and 28th in terms of total points for the 2003 draft. Those ahead of him have played far more games as well. 2003 NHL Draft You can click on goals or points at the top of the page to sort.......Stempniak and Pavelski also are nice "value" picks from the 2003 draft.by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros:February - 11 years ago
I saw that. I haven't even seen that many skaters on the ice in my boys' youth hockey games. Tavares is a beast and Moulson is playing well. Not sure if it's too soon to say anything but the Islanders look much improved......by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Re: Big Line-up Changes for Brown Game - 11 years ago
How come nobody gets on Ryan's case? I see Gotovets basically willing to risk major injury blocking a shot at the end of regulation and then a few minutes later Ryan reacts sssslllllloooowwwwwlllllllyyyyyyy on a somewhat analogous play in front of the net in OT. He may have had less time to react but there was little urgency.by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Just curious what options are out there when you're 21 or 22..........how would one improve his game while maintaining NCAA eligibility?by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: New recruit - 11 years ago
Rauter looks like he needs another year. Sade probably needs a year in a better junior league. Buckles and McCarron, wow. Hopefully ready to go next year. Hudson is 20, it's now or never.by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros: January 2013 - 11 years ago
Is he really considered a puck-moving defenseman as a pro? I like him a lot but didn't think that he had either the wheels or the vision to be considered that.......I thought it was more about his size and intelligence. I haven't seen him play since his Cornell days.by RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: Another Goalie Recruit - 11 years ago
Duffus was incredible in '91-'92. Made some of the best saves I have ever seen a college goalie make, and I've seen probably 500 college games (250+ live) including 50+ games by a goalie named Marty Turco. Watching the 1976 Stanley Cup finals on the NHL network right now. I'm surprised by how little hitting there is. Game looks half speed, most players aren't wearing a helmet or a mouthguarby RatushnyFan - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros:December - 11 years ago
css228 Bad news... Scrivens below average AHL goaltender. Still he's young, and there's more than half a season left, and he's only barely below average (-2.0 shots per 1000). Hopefully his play picks up as the season goes along. Not only that, look at #23.......eww!by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Great game, I enjoyed attending, even in section 417.....group of 30 kids and parents from our youth hockey program. Espo looked like he's struggling with an ankle injury still, he could not push off one of his feet and had trouble changing direction. Took a couple of hard hits as well. Hope he gets better. Trouba made some mistakes but you can see his talent. I've never seen Michiganby RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: 2012-13 Polls Men & Women - 11 years ago
Michigan is not bad.............they always have a lot of speed and talent. They haven't come together yet, they have a young roster and the goaltending doesn't seem as good as normal (two freshman goalies but we all know that they usually have very good goalie recruits - I think they lost their top goalie recruit to the juniors this year). Their performance versus RIT and Northern Michigan isby RatushnyFan - Hockey
