Re: Colgate vs. Cornell home-and-home 1/19-20 - 6 years ago
cth95 Interesting to read all of the posts this year about how we need a coaching change because of how much Yale, Q, etc. Have left us behind. What we needed was a *recruiting* change, and that seems to have happened. We actually outskated Yale this year.by abmarks - Hockey

Tom Lento I’m pretty sure Cornell was #1 in PWR at the start of the 2003 NCAA tournament. Not sure if there’s a reliable week by week history anywhere, but you could probably dig up end of season ratings from USCHO or something. If the links are relatively consistent you might be able to use archive.org to get some of ithat data. You could verify the pwr at ncaa tourney start by any articleby abmarks - Hockey

Re: Princeton @ Cornell 1/5/18 - 6 years ago
RichH Swampy Also, without Colton Point, 'Gate came from being down 3-1 to take Q into overtime before losing 4-3. Even better story: Colg’ scored twice in the final minute to send it to OT. QU won 22 seconds into the extra frame. It must have felt deflated in Class of Whatever Arena. So, deflategate?by abmarks - Hockey
Re: Opponents News - 6 years ago
DL And yet they tapped in 5 straight goals to beat #2 Denver Wow. Dartmouth is down 3-0 after the first, then pots 3 in the second, goes ahead at 18:23 of the third, then pulls the goalie and gets #5 seconds later at 19:03.by abmarks - Hockey

scoop85 New commit, Kyle Penney, a 17-year old Canadian forward playing at Kimball Union Academy Since it's incredibly rare for us to get a New England Prep kid, I did some searching. Turns out that one of the assistant coaches there is former standout CU goalie Matt Underhill. ELite Prospects lists him as a 2019 commit; he's currently a Junior. I wonder how much of a "stretch"by abmarks - Hockey

Trotsky upprdeck isnt most of this pretty easy to get from the SUN archives? In a word? Edit: It appears they have no gone back prior to 1980, and what little they have is behind a pay wall. Fuck that. It's extremely labor intensive so you really need somebody like me with exceedingly low self esteem to dig through it all. If at some point all that shit is scanned and uploaded then allby abmarks - Hockey
Re: Clarkson at Cornell 11/18/17 - 6 years ago
Beeeej Clarkson certainly appears to be the real deal, as they put five past Colgate's usually excellent goalie Colton Coltwasnoton Point last night. FYP Beeeej Won't be able to watch or listen to this one live, as we're attending a cousin's performance in "Fiddler on the Roof," but we'll be checking scores at intermission, believe you me... Trotsky abmarksNot surprisingly, he wears #25. Kent was 21. I don't know what Kim was, but the sum is what he should wear if he comes here. Unless it's > 29. Non-goalie uniform numbers greater than 29 should be banned. F my early onset....by abmarks - Hockey

pfibiger It has: Ethan Manderville, 6'4" 200lbs and eligible for the upcoming NHL draft, where he's a C-rated prospect. He's playing for the Ottawa Jr Senators, but was drafted by the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. He's also toward the top (top 10) of Heisenberg's roughly-sorted Eastern Canada recruits: Not surprisingly, he wears #25. I also stumbled on this other NHL-offspring while lby abmarks - Hockey

Frozen Four Tickets 2018 - 6 years ago
To my surprise, I just got an email from the NCAA that I can now buy Frozen Four tickets 2018. EXCLUSIVE FROZEN FOUR PRESALE! SECURE YOUR SEATS PRIOR TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC OFFER ENDS: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24 This is labeled "priority holder tickets" on the NCAA website. I'm not sure why I landed in the priority line since I've never bought FF Tickets before, but maybe it extends tby abmarks - Hockey

Riley Nash had a busier night than usual (16:37 and won 8 of 13 faceoffs), in large part because of Bergeron’s absence. A power-play regular with the Hurricanes, the ex-Cornell standout has more game than he’s been asked to provide here in third- and fourth-line roles. Fromby abmarks - Hockey

crodger1 Cornell Club of Boston emailed to say it was going to be Tuesday, 9/5 at 9am. And then sent another email correcting the time to 10am. I looked on the harvard website and it doesn't specify the time, just the date.by abmarks - Hockey
