Late catching up to the chat, but the best thing the Colgate announcer said wasn't "Alex Dell 2, Colgate 1" (though that was pretty good). It was when he gave a Colgate defenseman credit for the Pegoraro goal because the D-man made a great play, sliding to block the shot and deflecting it over Silverthorn.by ugarte - Hockey

Rob Koll is awesome. Jack Spates also deserves a lot of credit for putting together a great program for him to build on. What Spates has done in Oklahoma is also very impressive.by ugarte - Hockey

Stream of conciousness... Go! One assist on the Moulson goal is silly. Two is ridiculous. The slash on Krantz was bad but I don't see intent to injure. I see that sort of peek-a-boo chop all the time - mostly from goalies - and they rarely catch the player with the precision that Krantz got caught last night. OK, I think I am coming, but I need some reassurance. It has been so long since I've been to a game that I no longer remember how long televised games last. I have a show to do (http://www.rickblaine.com/index/gigs/calendar/)* in Cobble Hill at 11:30 and I need to be sure that I'll get there in time. Re: Davenport Has Left the Team - 19 years ago
IIRC, NCAA transfer rules exact a semester's worth of delay in going somewhere else if he sticks it out and spends this semester on the Cornell bench. Leaving early doesn't just get him out of an uncomfortable situation, it allows him to move on with his career and makes him more attractive to any other teams interested in him. Schafer is entitled to think that he isn't good enough to play andby ugarte - Hockey
Re: Davenport Has Left the Team - 19 years ago
Let me be the first to just stand up for the poor kid. Davenport's decision was not inappropriately selfish. He found himself on the bench behind a sophomore goalie who proved himself worthy of playing every minute of every game. It is actually more selfish of the team and its fans to expect that Davenport would sacrifice anywhere from one to three years of development at a crucial stage of hiby ugarte - Hockey
