Someone should donate a new arena. We trash Lynah and Newman and combine them into one venue where the ice and the court are in the same place. That'll solve the problem.by Willy '06 - Other Sports

KeithK CUontheslopes LaJollaRed He seems like a really nice kid... If he scored 55 pts at CU, I wouldn't care if he committed securities fraud. Well a conviction on securities fraud would probably cut into his game availability. No, he'd just have to play with an ankle bracelet.by Willy '06 - Hockey
Re: Just out......#25 in basketball - 14 years ago
Eh, I'd rather have Harvard lose a few games and make it easier for us to clinch early. Ranking and seeding don't matter if we don't make it to the tourney.by Willy '06 - Other Sports
Re: Just out......#25 in basketball - 14 years ago
YankeeLobo I just don't see a reason for the voters that excluded Cornell this week, to include them next week and the following weeks. I do. Other people voted for them last week, so it's a safer choice to do it this week. I didn't say it was a logical reason... just a reason.by Willy '06 - Other Sports
Re: Nancy Pelosi to be Convocation speaker - 14 years ago
I heard that Madame Speaker is hosting after hours at one of the campus fraternities after the convocation. She's supplying the booze.by Willy '06 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Nancy Pelosi to be Convocation speaker - 14 years ago
KeithKRegardless, the great thing about Cornell's convocation setup is that you don't have to attend if you don't want to. Nancy Pelosi shows up and gives a stump speech encouraging graduates to spend their lives pursuing progressive causes? Don't show up. It's not like other schools where the comparable speech is given during the actuAl graduation ceremony where everyone is a captive audience.by Willy '06 - John Spencer Is Dead

KeithKAnd then there's the eLynah tradition of never letting a good deed go unpunished by a snarky comment. (Which I tend to embace most of the time.) Why do you debase tradition?by Willy '06 - Hockey

Re: Cornell-BU @ MSG postgame - 14 years ago
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fluky 2nd goal. During the game I couldn't figure out what happened, and the replay on the MSG screen didn't really help me. The goal was unassisted, but I was sure the BU player passed it during the 2 on 1. After watching it a few times on Redcast, I saw how unlucky that goal really was. Yes, it was bad to allow a 2 on 1, but I thought it looked like Brendaby Willy '06 - Hockey

And yes there is an emoticon for this, well at least in the ballpark, but I'd rather not use it. Chicago Viewing for 3/20 Semifinal - 15 years ago
I'm sure that many of you have seen this (below) and will hopefully be attending the event at Harry Caray's in Chicago to watch the basketball game on Friday. I contacted the people who are organizing the event and asked if it would be possible to extend it to accommodate those of who would also like to watch the hockey game. Harry Caray's is stepping up for us, so hopefully we'll have a big eby Willy '06 - Hockey
