Re: You Are The Committee - 12 years ago
If all the lower seeds win and we lose both games this week, we will drop down to 16th and will be knocked out. If all the lower seeds win but we beat Union in the consolation game, we will be 11th and still make the tournament. If all the lower seeds win but we beat Colgate in the consolation game, we will be 13th and will be knocked out by auto-bids. If all the lower seeds win but we bby ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Atlantic City Tickets: Which Side is the Home Team - 12 years ago
I think Cornell students will get section 103/104, but I'm not 100% sure. Dartmouth sat in that section last year with the 2nd seed. We sat in 107/106 as the 3rd seed. I will ask the ticket office tomorrow and will let you know.by ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Dartmouth Game 1 (Friday) Pregame - 12 years ago
ithacat Jim Hyla So was anything said about the Dartmouth coaches yelling at the refs after it was over? They were quite intense. Gaudetting has become an acceptable form of coaching behavior. Rose, however, wouldn't let it go & I thought he was going to lose his biscuits. After looking at the GWG video by TheMatrix, I don't think we were as off sides as we thought. Re: Sunday night ECAC First Round - 12 years ago
We lucked out sooooo much this weekend: Union has to face a very hostile RPI, who could easily pull an upset in a home road trip. Yale and Harvard will have a competitive series, with that rivalry heating up in Cambridge. Colgate has to face a very disciplined Quinnipiac, who barely missed the bye cutoff last week. And what about us? We have to face Dartmouth, who hasn't been on a roaby ajh258 - Hockey

Yale looking good tonight against Princeton, unless something unexpected happens, I think Bulldogs will win this one. Quinnipiac is also playing well against Brown, I think Bobcats will take the win tonight. RPI and Clarkson? Who knows.by ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Quarterfinal Choices - 12 years ago
jtn27 Maybe we'll get lucky and both Brown and Princeton will win tonight so we can face Princeton. I know it's unlikely but that's what I'm rooting for so that we don't have to face RPI again. I'd also like RPI to knock off Clarkson. I don't want to see Clarkson in a later round; they gave us trouble both times we faced them.I'd rather face Clarkson than RPI at this point. RichH Jim Hyla Now to think back on all the posts from earlier in the year, this has been one great year. I agree, but it's also been a quirky year, but I guess that's to be expected when there have been so many ties in the league. Here's a list of interesting facts: * Cornell has only three ECAC losses all year (two of those to one team), * The Men's team has one more ECAC loss than theby ajh258 - Hockey

Jim Hyla css228 jtn27 I know we won and I don't want to be a downer, but I'm a little worried about the fact that last night was the 8th time in 9 games that we scored 0 third period goals. Re: Cornell @ Colgate - 12 years ago
jtn27 We're now tied for 18th in the pairwise rankings. It seems pretty likely that we're going to need to win the ECAC tournament to make the NCAA tourney. I suppose we still have an outside chance at an at large bid if we win the Cleary Cup but to do that I think we're going to need to get at least 3 points against Union, maybe even 4. Jim Hyla MattS Chris '03 scoop85 I think Ferlin's play especially is suffering because of Espo's absence. I've been wondering about Ferlin for the past few weeks too. In the first half it seemed he was always a threat whenever he was on the ice. I've barely noticed him lately, even before the Espo injury. I think he's trying to do too much. Sullivan finally wrote an in-depth analysis for this year's team; Schafer received high praise as well. The coach is an adaptor; don’t be fooled into thinking otherwise. Jim Hyla Ok, I need help. I'm bringing down a couple of SU grads for the game tonight. We'd like to eat somwhere convenient to get to the rink, where we can watch the beginning of the SU-ND basketball game. It starts at 6 PM, so I figure we can see the first half-hour, or so, of their game. So food, convience, and TV with SU bball ae the requirements. Any suggestions?Chapter House.by ajh258 - Hockey
