Re: Philly--Delaware Viewing - 19 years ago
Thanks for the info, Hillel. I wonder if you might be able to tell me, in rough terms, how long a drive it might be from Harrisburg, where I will be this weekend, to wherever that Chester County viewing site might be. I did look at a map, but couldn't get a great idea from that alone. And I don't know the area at all, having been there just once before. Thanks if you can help, Hillel.by andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Pep Band to Minnesota - 19 years ago
I don't know if this is allowed or not, but could you "sell" empty seats on the bus to others who want to make the trip? I think you mentioned wanting to get a pep band of 25 there. For argument's sake, if you actually took 30-35, that should still leave a good number of seats available on the bus. If you sold those seats for $100 or $150, you could defray a significant amount of the coby andyw2100 - Hockey

Watching the regionals in or near Harrisburg, PA - 19 years ago
I will be in Harrisburg, PA next weekend, celebrating Easter with my fiancee's family. I don't know the area at all. Does anyone here know of a place where we may gather to watch the games? I have just written to a contact person listed for the Lancaster Cornell Club. Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks! Andy W.by andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Harvard postgame - 19 years ago
Speaking of giving pucks away... I actually have something nice to say about Donato. A bunch of us were gathered in the Crowne Plaza lobby Saturday night, waiting for the team to arrive. Unlike 2003, the band was not present, but we were still quite a crowd. I'm guessing there may have been 150 Cornell fans there, including perhaps 20-30 young ones. If he was willing to go with clunky, he could have said "Having tied one game, and one the other 17 over their last 18 games." Clunky is bad.by andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Adam Wodon on crack? - 19 years ago
As I said in the other thread, I guess I was more shocked than anything else, because Adam is normally so good. He obviously had that line prepared, because he used it twice. It wasn't some off the cuff comment that he had to try to remember something about that he remembered wrong. It was lack of preperation. Preperation is normally one of Adam's strengths. I know Adam is a great friend of Coby andyw2100 - Hockey

Adam Wodon on crack? - 19 years ago
OK, so maybe that subject line is a tad harsh. And I know Adam is a friend of Cornell hockey. I just don't understand how not once, but twice during the selection show he could say Cornell lost one game in their last 18, when, in fact, we tied one game in our last 18, and didn't lose any. This guy is a paid professional. Mistakes like that are unacceptable. Defend yourself Adam--please.by andyw2100 - Hockey

Re: Cornell Will Win In Minnesota - 19 years ago
Adam also said something about Cornell's reward for "losing one game in their last 18...", which, of course, is incorrect. That "loss" was a tie. WTF was Wodon thinking? It's not like he didn't have time to prepare his thoughts, and I know he knows Cornell's record. Weird slip. Andy W.by andyw2100 - Hockey

Re: Tickets Still On Sale? - 19 years ago
I can't imagine that the game is sold out. Last night the upper deck was perhaps 25% full, and that is probably stretching it. Also, I'm sure there will be people selling tickets. Hop in the car and come help us cheer on the Big Red to their record eleventh ECAC title. Andy W.by andyw2100 - Hockey
McKee could pass Hyphen for number 1 in Save Percentage - 19 years ago
I may have done the math wrong, so someone else please confirm, but I believe that if McKee and Hyphen face a similar number of shots tonight, and Cornell wins by two or more, McKee will take over the lead in save percentage. A request for out of town scores - 19 years ago
I am hoping to find some kind e-Lynah soul who will be following the games online who would be willing to shoot me e-mail text messages to my cell-phone with updates on the three important games. Anyone else think we should switch ends in Albany? - 19 years ago
I don't mean to be controversial, and second-guess Schafer here. But based on all the bad bounces at the end of the rink that we defended twice last night, particularly the bad bounces in the Harvard-Colgate game, does anyone else here think that perhaps we should be shooting into that end twice? There were a number of reall weird bounces off the boards in that end, with the puck coming right outby andyw2100 - Hockey
Important Saturday Out-of-Town Games - 19 years ago
From what I've read here, I think this is correct, but I would like confirmation... Tonight we need to root for: Colorado College to beat Denver UNH to beat Boston College If we beat Harvard, and either of the above happens, we get a number one seed, right? What other games matter, and who should we be rooting for? Are there other ways we can get the number one seed? Finally,by andyw2100 - Hockey
