Josh '99 David Harding Not a Cornellian, but an ECAC alumus, the much maligned Hyphen is still hanging on in the lower professional ranks. For Cornell alumni content, he's teammates with Evan Barlow and Joe Devin. They're also teammates with some dude named Wacey Rabbit, which might be my favorite hockey name ever because it makes me think of Elmer Fudd saying "wascally wabbit". 2by The Rancor - Hockey

I'm sure if he gets a good offer after his junior year, he will go pro. He is draft eligible (one more time) for this year (2012) I believe.by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Harvard 6 Cornell 1 ECAC post-game - attendance - 12 years ago
What they need to do is play in a smaller rink, so that they fill it up and create a championship environment. I'm sure there are plenty of worthy 6-8000 arenas (like Lake Placid or Syracuse) available. 10,000 + is just too big for the league right now. (edit: Seems like the Proletariat wants Bridgeport. I support that)by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: ECAC Finals Weekend not on TV - 12 years ago
there are so many good arenas in the northeast, from Hartford to Bridgeport to Syracuse to Atlantic city, and they are all good, and more or less centrally located. Only Atlantic City truly offers a destination and attractions, even if its not so family friendly. which is a problem, i think.by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: Red Cast Really Sucks - 12 years ago
billhoward semsox So all that being said......how does RPI TV work then? Exactly. And if Cornellians are grooming to run NBC rather than run gaffer's tape, we could always reach across town to Ithaca College, which is the go-to for students who understand TV production. (It must suck to be the Cornell student who's the camera operator if he or she frequents eLynah. Nobody's performance gets dby The Rancor - Hockey

I like the 70s - 80s era Jersey with the long stripe from shoulder to wrist. FWIW that's the retro-throwback-3rd jersey I wouldn't mind seeing.by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Mercyhurst 5 Cornell 4 - 12 years ago
I felt like the 2 problems in the loss were that Andy let in 2 soft goals (1 of which was off the faceoff) and the D wasn't picking up their man. Not using the body to the advantage (umm hey kid, you're 6-3 220, he's 5-9 175, take his candy!) was something they didn't do in pre-season either. That said, they controlled play for long periods of time, passed well, and generally worked they cycleby The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Cu - 0 Yale - ECAC finals (postgame) - 13 years ago
This team, and others like it in recent years has only a few major flaws, that i can see. First: passing. As Kyle pointed out, the lack of crisp tape to tape give and go passing is completely absent. Yale had it, we didn't. Second: hesitation. You can't hesitate with the puck. you have to know what to do and do it in an instant- not second guess yourself into lost opportunities.
