Avash '05McKee allowed 3 goals on 30 shots as Iowa lost to San Antonio 4-1 (LeNeveu did not start for San Antonio). better than the 7 on 32 shelling he took 2 nights before. ouch.by The Rancor - Hockey

Jacob '06Moulson got sent back down to Manchester today. His problem is that he probably has to make the top 2 lines as a scorer because he doesn't have the physical play to play the 3rd or 4th line. from insidesocal.com/kings On cuts earlier today: ``Today was a tough day because some of our best young prospects had to be sent down. Some guys who will probably end up making the team, in theby The Rancor - Hockey

FWIW: McCutchen has scored the first goals in each of the first 2 games of the rookie camp. It looks like he is making the most of his tryout in Colorado.by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: McKee - 16 years ago
Liz '05ForkEmDevilsIt is time that everyone must realize McKee was the product of a defensive orientated system at its height. I can't speak for everyone on this board, obviously, but what you're saying isn't much of a shock to me. Leneveu and McKee both left Cornell with at least one season of ridiculously good numbers, and have struggled some in the professional ranks. We knew that Cornell'by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Is it October yet? - 16 years ago
I think that I Our D needs to do the fundamentals, block the shots and hit HARD. Stay in shape and wear the others out. Last year we did not intimidate the opponents, and it showed. Hmm.. and some higher point production would be nice- Topher, Ray I need to see closer to a 1 point per game out of you two. Half that for Tyler Roeszler- I know you can do it and still keep up on your D. Riley Nashby The Rancor - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros Aug 07 - 16 years ago
August 15 was the deadline to sign graduated college draft picks. That makes McCutchen a free agent, I guess not unexpected, as he did not attend the Colorado rookie/prospect Camp. Will he get a look with the Amerks? Speaking of free agents, Who is out there, alumni wise? edit: I'm wrong- McCutchen is invited to the Avalance Rookie camp, and it takes place on September 8-11. So did he geby The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros Aug 07 - 16 years ago
rmandelDoes this mean he is no longer associated with the Thrashers? Yes... the Thrashers mods at HF boards told me that he was not offered a contract by the Thrashers. Many hotlanta fans were upset by this. many were not at all. He did not attend rookie/prospect camp.by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: Cornellians who will see ice time in the NHL in '07 - 16 years ago
Ronald '09 Coyotes signed Aebischer today to a 1 year, $600K deal. That probably means Leneveu and Tellqvist are battling for a roster spot, although at 600K (probably one way), they could afford to get rid of Aebischer easily and keep the other two. How close is Matt Moulson to being NHL ready? McKee could get a game or two as both goalies in front of him seem likely to have injuries.by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros July 07 - 16 years ago
unlike McKee, who has been erased from the Ducks website, Cook and Vesce are still on Ottawa's. Do they still retain the rights to Cook/Vesce? I also noticed that Collin Greening is #2 on the Sen's Depth Chart, and #1 for prospects (left wings).by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: McKee a Free Agent - 16 years ago
hmm... no longer listed on the team website. my guess was they are waiting to see what happens with Bryzgalov before re- upping, he had a good season last year and seemed to be in good favor with the team. what happened?by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Coyotes Re-sign LeNeveu - 16 years ago
I'm going to say bad, unless they are locking him up for a future trade. The problem is that no one in the NHL needs a goalie more than the Coyotes. The best thing for him now is to make the team out of camp, and win a spot in rotation, if possible, depending on who the Coyotes sign as the 'starter'. Another problem he is going to have is that the Coyotes need to spend $3-4 million to meet the cby The Rancor - Hockey
