Re: Iggulden Signs With Rochester - 19 years ago
My apologies, Mr. Cook. Assumptions are just that....and often inaccurate. Congratulations on having son with "a plan" and a darn good one at that!! I wish he (& the other seniors well). Good luck with those student loans. Money well spent!! charles cook Wrote: first your assumptions are way off.!!!!!! mike k and charlie prepared themselves for this oppurtunby redice - Hockey

Re: Iggy, Cook, & Knoepfli.....what ever happened to finishing their education at Cornell? I know they can (& probably will) finish it during the summer....But, is this a sign that hockey supersedes the educational experience? If so, I'm disappointed. Let's face it, none of these players is likely (maybe Iggy??) to play in the NHL. So, it's not like they need to get a jump on theiby redice - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four - 19 years ago
Actually, there were at least two cowbells in the arena for the Frozen Four semifinal games. One was played by Denver (non-band) people. I don't know who had the other one. Since the arena rules expressly forbid cowbells, I was surprised to see them. Ya gotta love those goofers!!!by redice - Hockey

Re: Cornell vs. Minnesota post game thread - 19 years ago
It recently came out that Mike had David McKee looking at videos of all the goals that he allowed last year to focus on how to prevent them this year. I hope he does that for O'Byrne this off season.by redice - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Minnesota post game thread - 19 years ago
Yes, there is a talent gap. I think there probably always will be a talent gap between teams like North Dakota, Mich., Minnesota, etc and the ECAC teams. But, I honestly feel that Mike Schaefer is the element that will allow Cornell to overcome that talent gap. Yes, teams like Minnesota will appear to dominate Cornell. But, in reality, if the team plays Mike's sytem, TO THE LETTER, like tby redice - Hockey

His Cornell career is now half over....How long do we have to wait for him to get his head into the game? These types of mistakes can be justified in the first half of his freshman year. After that, it's time to get with the program....Schaefer's program!by redice - Hockey

THIS is Cornell Hockey!!! You're darn right we have a shot!! At this point in the game, I think we have UofM right where we want em. I am so impressed with how absolutely methodical this CU team is playing.by redice - Hockey

Re: CU-Minnesota Game Thread - 19 years ago
From WHCU: A story was just told that makes clear that UofM did not always use 100% Minnesota players. According to Glen Sonmor, in the 60's there was big effort to recruit a big kid from Toronto who was a great hockey goalie and also played basketball & baseball and was a great student. The problem was that Ned Harkness had that Big Kid locked up to attend CU. I don't think anyone herby redice - Hockey
