Re: Opponents and Others, 2021-22 - 2 years ago
upprdeck anyone know why the STL game is not listed on the cornell ticket site while Clarkson is? I'm not sure where you're looking... But, from what I understand to be THE Cornell Tix Site, I see the following: Feb 18 Men's Hockey vs. St. Lawrence Men's Ice Hockey Lynah Rink Friday, February 18, 2022 7:00 PM (ET) Feb 19 Men's Hockey vs. Clarkson Men's Ice Hockey Lynah Rink Satby redice - Hockey

billhoward redice Trotsky CU2007 Did the attendance policy change for the thousandth time this season? Appears to be a lot more people tonight than previously. No, they are just all grouped together thus defeating the whole purpose of limiting admission. Wrong! There was clearly a much larger crowd tonight. I'm not sure how it happened. Bulkier parkas, maybe. With bulky wineskins underneath? Itby redice - Hockey

Give My Regards Jay-zus, I don't like hearing that a guy a year older than me needs a "cardiac" anything. Take care, Coach, and get well soon. I hear no mention of a heart attack. So, Mike is lucky that they found & "fixed" a blockage without him suffering heart damage. All the best, Mike .by redice - Hockey

abmarks BearLover scoop85 I feel for Michael Regush. He was a nice player for us and obviously had some team success here. But as a grad transfer at Miami OH his team is having an awful year, and they just got swept by St. Cloud State by a combined 19-1 in two games over the weekend. Yikes. It was his decision to transfer. Rarely agree with bearlover, but yep. It sounds like he jumped from (wby redice - Hockey

Trotsky Dafatone3x3 hockey is dumb and a travesty, but it IS fun.I don't think so. I think it just turns the sport into lacrosse, where you hold possession unless you fuck up. It's not just a crime, it's a blunder. I rather enjoy 3-3 if both teams are truly trying to score. Saturday, against Q, CU seemed to be playing for a tie, for most of the OT. That was not enjoyable.by redice - Hockey
Re: Q Game Thread - 2 years ago
BearLover upprdeck someone needs to explain why Cornell limited students to 50 per section for safety but then decides those 50 can all sit in the same 20 sq ft? if thats the case then why did numbers matter at all? The rules make absolutely no sense and never have. It’s all “doing something” for the sake of saying they’re doing something. So typical of the Cornell Ticket Office, throughout theby redice - Hockey

dbilmes Quinnipiac has outscored the opposition 38-2 in its last eight games, six of which were against ECAC teams and two against LIU. But they didn't play Cornell in that streak!!! Things will change for them on Saturday!by redice - Hockey
Re: Awards & Honorifics 2022 - 2 years ago
BearLover The coaching staff has done an unbelievable job so far this season. Cornell is at such a competitive disadvantage compared to the teams who played last season (nearly all of them). Schafer deserves COTY if the season ended today. For sure!by redice - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others, 2021-22 - 2 years ago
upprdeck Quin has allowed 2 goals and shut out 6 of the 7 teams in the ECAC. Riding a 4 goal shutout streak.. Wonder what the ECAC record is for that? Dart/Prin/Colg on deck before our game NCAA record is 12by redice - Hockey

Re: 3-on-3 overtime and the RPI & PWR - 2 years ago
cbuckser Last week Brandon Thomas explained the new ECAC and NCAA rules for regular-season overtime. In short, for intraconference games, the ECAC standings award three points for a regulation win, two for an overtime or shootout win, one for an overtime or shootout loss, and zero for a regulation loss. That's what the IIHF and a lot of European professional leagues do. I think it's a far more raby redice - Hockey
Re: Attendance policies in ECAC - 2 years ago
I just purchased tickets for the two Alaska-Fairbanks games. They are now selling reserved seat tickets, not general admission for a selected section. Maybe we're making another step toward normal (whatever that means).by redice - Hockey
Re: Attendance policies in ECAC - 2 years ago
upprdeck looked like most sections had maybe 25-50 people in them last night. One of people at the entry point mentioned that they sold 100 tickets per section. Secs B & D seemed to have more than 100 bodies. 100 per section equates to around 1500 planned attendance.by redice - Hockey

French Rage Maybe it's just me but who the hell eats at a sporting event anyways. Eat beforehand. I'm too busy yelling and jumping and such to consider eating a meal at that moment. But that may be just me. I don't eat at the hockey games either.... But, I damn well enjoy a beverage! I think eliminating that is not fan-friendly when you consider all of the yelling & sore throats at Lyby redice - Hockey
Re: ECAC preseason poll - 2 years ago
ursusminor Unfortunately, Union still has not released their 2021-22 roster because they suck. And, This may be a surprise to some people, but this Yale team is absolutely garbage. Tell us what you really think!!by redice - Hockey
Re: ECAC preseason poll - 2 years ago
dbilmes What a difference two years makes. The coaches and the media both pick us to finish fourth, although we did receive one first-place vote in the coaches' poll. We didn't have a single player selected før the preseason All-ECAC team. Let's hope that we can surprise a few people. I have faith in Mike!!by redice - Hockey

marty While RPI faculty, staff and students who are fully compliant with the Institute’s COVID-19 protocols will be allowed to attend games, the general public is not. Therefore, at this point, we will not be processing season ticket applications or individual game ticket sales to any non-campus community members. Jim Hyla ..... and whether the BU game will really be at MSG. Oh Hell! Let's just invite them to Ithaca. I think it would be a ball to have the CU-BU game at Lynah. Besides, with the crime increase in NYC, who wants to go there? Not me, even for Big Red Hockey.by redice - Hockey
