Re: i2sports Game Video - 20 years ago
To get the video in the WM player you go through the log in process, then when you get the page with the embedded WM , right click on the black "screen" and choose properties. In properties, locate the url for the stream and highlight and copy it. Then close that browser window that has the embedded video. Open the WM player and choose File-->Open URL and paste in the copied url. Youby jason - Hockey
Re: Athletics: Throw Toys Instead of Fish - 20 years ago
exactly how long do you think it will take for the Faithful to start humming/singing the song themselves? One second? Two? Yes, that would happen, but there's no way it can match the energy produced by the Pep Band's playing of the Rocky/GG combo. It's a pretty severe measure, but I think Athletics is feeling backed into a corner. They've said that they don't want profanity, and whether peopleby jason - Hockey
Re: i2sports Game Video - 20 years ago
Full screen is indeed poor, but if you watch it in the WM player (rather than confined in the web page) and drag the window corner to adjust the size, I've found there's a pretty good size/quality compromise that is bigger than the default window size but well short of full screen. Plus, the extra screen real estate leaves me room for the chat program. As for different sizes for different bandwiby jason - Hockey
Re: Drumroll, Please - 20 years ago
While doing the CSTV intermission show, Wodon mentioned Danis as a Hobey long shot, but quickly added that he wasn't sure how a goalie is going to win it if Lenny didn't get it last year. I'm probably going to be pretty peeved whenever the Hobey is next won by a goalie since I have a hard time believing that he'll have had a more impressive season than LeNeveu --probably won't happen until thereby jason - Hockey

BU gets a short handed scoring chance, Dart takes a penalty to break it up, so 4x4 coming upby jason - Hockey
Re: 11/28 games - 20 years ago
Dart still down by 1, ~12min left in third, sounds like 4x4 coming up. CORRECTION: BU has an extra guy sent off, so pp for Dart. Post Edited (11-28-03 21:15)by jason - Hockey
Re: 11/28 games - 20 years ago

11/28 games - 20 years ago
With Cornell having the night off, are folks going to bother following any of the other contests? If the Mrs. doesn't rope me into a house project, I'll probably try to listen to some of the Dartmouth-BU game while watching some of the two games being televised tonight. Just curious if I'm the only nutty one.by jason - Hockey

Re: Second half of CSTV schedule out - 20 years ago
They're probably looking to broaden their fan base and add more subscribers. Fair enough; I'll admit that my complaint is in part due to my sourness about the "haves" (i.e., D-I football powerhouses) getting an inordinate number of the televised games at the expense of other strong hockey programs.by jason - Hockey
Second half of CSTV schedule out - 20 years ago
CSTV's ice hockey schedule for the rest of the season is now available (go to: ). No additional games for Cornell other than the possibility of being in the ECAC final, which CSTV will be airing. That almost makes me think that the ECAC final will not be on Empire or NESN like it has in the past. My biggest gripe with their schedule is that it looks like they picked games thinking that they wby jason - Hockey

Re: My Opinion of Cornell after the Princeton game - 20 years ago
My favorite quote from the USCHO recap: "It could have been 7-0 after the first period, said Princeton coach Len Quesnelle. "There was a point in the first period when we were looking at each other around the bench in sheer frustration." Reminiscent of Parker's quote about boys skating among men after last year's Cornell-BU series at Lynah.by jason - Hockey

Re: western michigan university @ cornell game 1 - 20 years ago
John, I'm in agreement with Greg. The "big picture" approach that we used to get with the old camera was too often frustrating because you weren't sure where the puck was or where it was heading --usually you knew that a goal was scored only from the reaction of the players. I'd rather have tighter zoom with a puck I can track, even with the occasionally poor framing, plus if it is theby jason - Hockey

Just speculation, but the warm weather might have left the ice softer than ideal (I think Wodon mentioned it being warm in Lynah).by jason - Hockey
Re: ON-TOPIC Video/Audio Thread - 20 years ago
Robb, In addition to Cornell's audio via the RealONE Pass, I believe W. Mich's audio will be available for free. The video is still uncertain as far as I know; i2sports website is showing Cornell vs W. Michigan as featured but unlike there other featured programs, there isn't a hyperlink associated with Cornell vs W. Mich (leading me to believe that the details are still being worked out). Re: Radio for US U-18 game? - 20 years ago
Not positive about a Cornell feed or lack thereof, but there won't be any free opposition audio. The US Under 18 Team doesn't have it's own audio (when updating the free audio links page I visited their site; it tells you that you may be able to hear the Under 18 Team's games if their opponent is offering a broadcast).by jason - Hockey

(Not sure where this response best fits, so I'll tack it onto BRA's.) Not wishing to be involved in any part of the Mac vs PC discussion, but just to clarify: I agreed about them being unprofessional because I thought the mocking tone of their popups was not really befitting a business. The messages themselves are very tame --and humorous-- but seem out of line for a commercial enterprise. I tby jason - Hockey
Re: Fuck i2sports - 20 years ago
Agreed, rather unprofessional for a business enterprise. The question remains though: are they going to be offering streaming video of Cornell's home games? If they were involved with the broadcast of last year's Cornell@Colgate game this could be very good; my recollection was that the image quality of that game's video was quite high (the announcing on the other hand...). video feed? - 20 years ago
I posted this in the "audio links" thread responding to a post by Chris '02, but that thread may not be of interest to many of you so this tidbit may have gone overlooked, so I'm pasting it here (and "EVERY" may not be totally accurate, but most every is): Whoa! Re: USA Today Poll - 20 years ago
Greg correctly predicted it; Cornell's streak of top ten placements in the polls comes to an end (at least in USCHO)... Whoa! Things at i2sports are even more interesting than Colgate vs Cornell. EVERY Cornell home game is shown on their calendar and Cornell is listed as a "client" of theirs. The implication is that Cornell home games will have video feeds. Seems too good to be true, but for the time being I've added their info to the the audiolinks page (http://www.frontiernet.net/~letsgored/audiolinks.by jason - Hockey

audio links - 20 years ago
I've updated the page with links to the free audio feeds of Cornell's opponents based on info I could find at each opponents' athletics page. It's located at: Please note that this address has changed from last year. (Age, feel free to link to it if you wish.) Re: NCAA changes PRI formula again - 20 years ago
Isn't the NCAA falling victim to what we, the fans, often do, which is to treat the Pairwise and RPI as having meaning at all times and not using them how they are intended: at the end of the season after all games played. The changes/fluctuations before that are noise that isn't designed to have meaning. Also, it can be said that a team has no say over its reagular season conference opponents,by jason - Hockey
