Re: What makes a great/bad college hockey jersey? - 11 years ago
KeithK My question is why bother making a change like this? I understand teams changing their jersey in an effort to pump up merchandise sales. But a minor adjustment like this won't do that. So why make changes like this (and then "unveil" them, as if anyone should really care all that much). I think you answered your own question: it's precisely to pump up merchandise sales. Trotsky jtn27I really hope someone from Redcast reads this the way someone from RPITV clearly has been. The jury is still out on Redcast: incompetent or evil. If the former then they have a shot to supply a product of at least non-laughable quality someday if the right person reads this. If the latter then we're out of luck no matter what -- they know, they just don't give a shit. And if thby jtn27 - Hockey

marty For Redcast the similar question would be who's stoned tonight? The only thing I'm not sure about concerns whether the incapacitated worker mans the camera or is in charge of the connection. Al DeFlorio Aaron M. Griffin I find the winged hockey helmet just as ridiculous as Penn State football helmets on ice.Agree. It just looks goofy on a hockey player. And we should remember that it's supposed to look like a fierce tiger with his ears pinned back. The design was introduced by Fritz Crisler when he coached football at Princeton. I'm not seeing that at all.by jtn27 - Hockey

ugarte Towerroad I liked the following "An accused sophomore said that in working on exams, “everybody went to the T.F.’s and begged for help. Some of the T.F.’s really laid it out for you, as explicit as you need, so of course the answers were the same.” " That's my point, though. Re: Goalie situation this season - 11 years ago
Aaron M. Griffin cayuga I heard yesterday that last year's backup goalies are gone, one to surgery, the other has left Cornell. Any truth to this "rumor"? If so, has Cornell gone into a season with only one goalie? If that is true and Kanji is injured, Cornell cannot go forward with only one goaltender because of NCAA Rule 2, Section 3(a) which states that: A substitute goalkeeperby jtn27 - Hockey

Beeeej Stay classy, Ohio State: Do you know if this is actually on sale at the Ohio St. school store? Although I have no proof, I would suspect it's not. It's probably only available through some unassociated fan website/store. I would think (or at least hope) that someone working at a major university like Ohio St. would be smart enough to nix this idea before it hit the shelves.by jtn27 - John Spencer Is Dead

Al DeFlorio Rich, your Abbott and Costello routine is a good send-up, but Lou's second question should be: Why does it have to be in such an out-of-the-way place? That's the crux of the issue.
