Re: Lacrosse 2012 - M&T Stadium offers (OT) - 12 years ago
billhoward I think by virtue of having bought lax tickets for a Cornell NCAA game or the Faceoff Classic, this comes from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Anybody else get this? Anybody understand how it relates to lacrosse? Re: Quarterfinal Choices - 12 years ago
It doesn't matter all that much to me. I don't think there's a team in the league that can beat us in a 3 game series other than maybe Union, who we wouldn't see until the final anyway. I guess if I had to pick I would say Quinnipiac (although again that wouldn't be until Atlantic City). We match up well against them. Also, on a personal note, my younger brother is a student at QU, so if we elimiby jtn27 - Hockey

Aaron M. Griffin Redscore Dafatone Redscore Don't know what to say, when you have to have it..... Expect nothing from this team. I'm looking ahead already. To next year I mean.... How dare they only finish in 2nd in the conference in a year that they weren't expected to dominate. How dare they. That was just massive disappointment talking. KenP Two questions -- how many 3rd period leads have we blown this year and what is our record in those games? This doesn't exactly answer your question but in the last 13 games (starting with @Princeton), we've had a lead going into the 3rd period 9 times (plus last night we took a third period lead), of those 9 times only 2 games ended in regulation (beat Yale, lost @Colgate). Greg M Are Ferlin/Esposito/Gotovets back? If I remember correctly Schaeffer said that Esposito could play but he was going to rest him until the playoffs to give him more time to heal. Also, I think Ferlin is supposed to be out 3-6 weeks (this being the first week). Don't know what happened to Gotovets.by jtn27 - Hockey

I have to wonder, are any engineers offended by RPI's use of the name "Engineers"? Even if it's just because their poor play is offensive? (And, yes, I am recycling my joke.)by jtn27 - Hockey

Jacob '06 Robb George64 In slo-mo, the net appears to bulge.Sure does. I really can't make out the puck until it's already back out, but the net should not move like that from a crossbar strike. I lose the puck once it gets around the goalie until it pops back out. I can't tell if it is actually the net bulging, or if it is that water droplet on the glass distorting the image as the camera movby jtn27 - Hockey

Ben Trotsky French RageBTW, do they have any cheers they didn't blatantly steal from us?To be fair, they may have stolen it from someone who stole it from us. I dunno who we stole it from, but considering Liverpool has been doing it since the 1890's... If it was Liverpool, they probably stole it from somewhere else first. Cornell is now 2 for 2 in games where that the opposing team's fans chant "scoreboard" before the third period. Hopefully, they'll keep doing that. Also, on ECACHockey.com we're still listed as being in 2nd place. What's up with that?by jtn27 - Hockey

Beeeej jtn27 ugarte KenP I think it's good that each "valid conference" received one not two autobids to the NC$$ tourney. The question then is how to award the autobid. If ECAC gave the autobid to the regular season champion there would be much less relevance to the ECAC tournament championship. Given the choice I'd keep the current system which lessens the benefit of the Jell-O Molby jtn27 - Hockey

Aaron M. Griffin Trotsky jtn27 Robb Give My Regards css228 Just to add a note. Cornell cannot finish higher than second if they tie Union.
