Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: vs clarkson on tv... - 21 years ago
This game is being rebroadcast at 4 PM Saturday the 25th on Time Warner cable channel 2 in the Capitol District. The listings said the Colgate at Clarkson game would be on but it is the Big Red on the tube again.by marty - Hockey
Re: How hard a hit? - 21 years ago
Author: Chris '02 Date: 01-25-03 10:26 This topic is rather deceiving. I thought it was going to have something to do with some bone-crushing hit that Murray or Bâby dealt at last night's game! Or the hit that the Internet has apparently taken within the last 24 hours. USCHO was down this AM but appears to be fine as of 11:40 AM.by marty - Hockey

So when I called the ticket office and asked if there were standing room tickets available for the Colgate @ Cornell game was he wrong when he said that there are none available?by marty - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Yale - 21 years ago
I think that the credit card thing has to do with them buying them at face value and selling them at face value. So using a credit card to pay for them would result in Cornell losing a bit on the transaction. (2 - 4 per cent would go to Mastercard or VISA)by marty - Hockey

Could someone bring a few to the away game at Colgate?by marty - Hockey
Re: Hobey Baker Fan Voting - 21 years ago
I am no longer free to do what I want....I have been hype-no-tized into voting for Cornell players. I cannot resist.by marty - Hockey

Re: Cornell at RPI 0-0 - 21 years ago
How do you like the ten second post game show during which they pick the three stars of the game who by definition are the three RIP stars of the game? The post game show is always over before I reach my car!by marty - Hockey

Re: Final Score: Princeton 2 Harvard 1 - 21 years ago
I have seen Princeton twice this year, incl their loss at home to RPI...and they looked dreadful. How did they win this one? That must have been quite an impressive game Rich.....they beat RPI.by marty - Hockey
Re: Union Tickets - 21 years ago
You should consider calling. I bought tickets on Friday and the nice woman who sells them said they were going quickly. I doubt it will sell out but this is hard to judge as we saw Union very early in the season for a couple of years. There were few travelers from Ithaca. 518-388-6134by marty - Hockey
Time well spent when your team is idle - 21 years ago
Here's something to stir up the pot. Weren't we looking for the rule book last year? I found this when reading a USCHO post.by marty - Hockey
Re: It's your site, Age, but what's cooking? - 21 years ago
I would like to point out that Doug Murray and the rest of the team for that matter are amateurs. I don't know how many of you remember the Vinnie Auger bashing a few years ago. Many on the forum couldn't believe how weak he was playing. It turned out that he was hurt to the degree that he was cosidering never playing again. To ask for more from the team is great. To demand a certain level oby marty - Hockey
Re: hockey fund raiser - 21 years ago
I guess attending the after game pizza party doesn't rate! Seriously, its nice to know that the forum members are/were so supportive.by marty - Hockey
Re: hockey fund raiser - 21 years ago
I'm lost here (which regulars on the board can attest is not an uncommon phenom ). Is there a "hockey fund raiser" that is separate from other fund raising efforts at CU? Is it under the AD? Thanks.by marty - Hockey
Re: New Pep Band CD! - 21 years ago
Weren't there two games on the CD?? But I may have the wrong weekend. I just picked the games I thought were on the CD. Here's Noeth's game: Friday, November 7, 1997 Lynah Rink Ithaca, NY Cornell 5, Harvard 2 1 2 3 (0-1-0, 0-1-0) Harvard Crimson 1 0 1 - 2 (2-0-0, 1-0-0) Cornell Big Red 2 1 2by marty - Hockey
Re: New Pep Band CD! - 21 years ago

Re: [OT] What's with the Arts School distrib. changes? - 21 years ago
Yes but you graduated in the very hip PC but now oh so old "pre-neo feminist ultra moderne" era. Face it - it's time to go back to school. Everything you know is wrong. The dean now has learned his lesson and is throwing in the towel. Tradition sucks, history sucks, and genteel Division One Shuffle Board is just around the corner.by marty - Hockey
Re: Where's Waldo? - 21 years ago
This game was allegedly sold out! They may count the student season ticket holders who are home for the holidays.by marty - Hockey
Re: LeNeveu and World Juniors - 21 years ago
The Big Red play their home games in a packed 4,600-seat building Where did the other 764 seats come from? The seating difference is similar to the difference one used notice when buying gasoline in Canada. For years they used Imperial gallons for volumetric measurement. I believe that they currently use the metric system. Because Lynah has bench seating and rather than chairsby marty - Hockey
Re: Maine vs. Cornell - 21 years ago
Al, Maybe he was just testing to see if you're umbilically tied to the message board like the rest of us.by marty - Hockey
Re: [OT] Sarah Hughes and Harvard? - 21 years ago
But there are surely a large supply of apples!by marty - Hockey
Re: [OT] Sarah Hughes and Harvard? - 21 years ago
That's funny Al because I get a much bigger headache when the debate has to do with who should be rated where in the polls and who should play more and who will win this or that........)by marty - Hockey
Re: ECAC Championship Tickets - 21 years ago
Tickets are available now by mail: They are to be mailed in January. Here is something that bothered me (from e-mail that I received): We received your ECAC ticket order recently. I did take note of your seating location request on the bottom of the form. Unfortunately, upper level seating is not being sold for this event. Please let us know of your second seating preference. Re: [OT] Sarah Hughes and Harvard? - 21 years ago
You mean unlevel Neil. Or at least that is how many of us view what you are trying to justify. And just for the record all four preference categories are given different weights and of course vary from school to school. The law suit that is being fought by the University of Michigan has forced some of their criteria to surface and nothing but nothing is anything but uneven.by marty - Hockey
