Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: what happened to the cam archives? - 19 years ago
Yeah but it still sucks for me. I go to games in the Morgue (TM) at RIP and really can't benefit from a live feed with no archive on nights when both the Big Red and Faux Red are at home.by marty - Hockey
Re: what happened to the cam archives? - 19 years ago
Last year the season package buyers could access the archives. This year when I2 began they announced that archiving was not going to happen - I think for the first half of the season. That lack of archived games is the reason I have been buying them one by one.by marty - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Dartmouth Postgame Thread - 19 years ago
Agreed that they let up tonight and also against RIP in the third. Tonight perhaps looking forward to tomorrow, and last week maybe because they were a bit tired after the Onion OT the day before. I'm glad we so thoroughly outplayed Dartmouth tonight. They beat RIP 9-1 and really didn't let up the entire game. I consoled a few RIP fans with the observation that it could have been worse - i.by marty - Hockey

To add insult, I can't get my AM antenna to pull in WHCU!by marty - Hockey

Anyone get this? Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. In the Open URL dialog, try opening the file using a different transport protocol (for example, "mms:".by marty - Hockey

Re: Going to Union/RPI? - 19 years ago
Union does sometimes sell out. Typically against RIP. Sometimes it comes close to selling out versus Cornell. I would call!by marty - Hockey
Re: Going to Union/RPI? - 19 years ago
RIP only sells out once a year. They designate a game each season as the "Big Red Freakout" and the fans must mistakenly think Cornell is in town as the tickets are gone in a flash. (This years Freakout is coming up in a few weeks.) Amazing what a bunch of screaming fans can do to ignite a team. They apparently haven't lost a Freakout since 1990! They trailed I think 3-0 iby marty - Hockey

If she was rude to you, might there have been a reason? She has always taken my order just as requested. I called her this week and she promptly called back and did her job. Now the RIP ticket office is another matter altogether. They are the laziest jerks....by marty - Hockey

Re: AM Antenna for WHCU - 19 years ago
Jim, I bought a cheap clone of the Select A Tenna and/or Terk from Radio Shack. (They were closed out and are no longer available.) Both of these companies have been around forever. My cheap antenna helps but reception varies here - outside of Troy. Martyby marty - Hockey

Harvard Football Fans agree... - 19 years ago
That they suck! Enterprising Yale students dressed in Harvard Pep Squad outfits tricked the Harvard fans into admitting their abilities. The game was played on Saturday the 20th. See the full explanation: I edited this to show the web page that the picture is derived from. I meant to do this yesterday but pasted the wrong link.by marty - Hockey
Re: WHCU. Why? - 19 years ago
I mentioned on the forum last year that I picked up a passive loop antenna for AM reception. It works better on some nights than others. I am outside Troy NY (near Albany). If I can pick this up on 870 AM I am sure some others on the forum may be interested in this method. An additional negative is the cost of the antenna. Last year Radio Shack was closing out an antenna that compared favoby marty - Hockey
