Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Alumni in the Pros - February 2009 - 15 years ago
Caught David LeNeveu played for the Iowa Chops at the Houston Aeros on Saturday night. Lenny played pretty well. Gave up just one goal as the Chops lost in the shootout. His one goal came with a hard slapshot from the right face-off circle beat him stick-side (might have gone between the elbow). I don't remember the shoot out goals very well, but he had a number of saves.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell in Pairwise and KRACH - 15 years ago
I posted this on the ECAC standings thread, but it also is relevant to this thread. Interesting statistical analysis of the remainder of the season and one website's take on who makes the NCAAs.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: The Rest of the ECAC Reg Season - 15 years ago
Interesting statistics similar to the ECAC PPS and the TBRW tools posted on this site...looks like they don't consider ties in their analysis. And it's got data for other "leagues" and sports also.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0 Harvard 0 (1st) - 15 years ago
Still 0-0 with about 5 left in the first. Harvard with about a 3-1 shot ratio advantage.by Chris 02 - Hockey

How did Clarkson get a single 20th place vote this past week in the meaningless poll?by Chris 02 - Hockey

jtwcornell91I was waiting for the end of this year's later-than-usual travel-partner-on-travel-partner action That sounds oddly erotic.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Any chance the playoff possibilities tool has been updated for 2008-2009?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell moves to #1 in KRACH and Pairwise - 15 years ago
Interesting twists to the pairwise now. Yale makes the tournament, and as a host, gets a favorable location no less! Of course, 6+ more weeks to play.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0 at Clarkson 0 (in overtime) - 15 years ago
Clarkson uses its timeout with less than 3 to play in OT.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Re: Polls 1/19 - 15 years ago
ebilmes Of course, all these rankings are meaningless. From the perspective of NCAA seeding, yes. But from the perspective of potential recruiting, alumni donations, etc. it can make some difference.by Chris 02 - Hockey

And the winner of the 2009 TBRW Kevan Melrose-Matt Nickerson Award goes to... Erik Burgdoerfer of RPI!by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Other ECAC scores 11/29 - 15 years ago
Kinda odd with the RPI tournament having the championship game early and the consolation late.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Anyone successful at getting the Harvard audio? The WHRB websites don't seem to work for me, but it might be due to a firewall.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the pros November 2008 - 15 years ago
amerks127Douglas fought Adam Burish tonight in Chicago. Pretty good fight, but the best scene is at the end when Burish cheap shots Murray as he's trying to take his helmet off. I missed the cheap shot. What time was it at?by Chris 02 - Hockey

Re: eLFers at the Frozen Four - 16 years ago
I do recall seeing someone wearing a Cornell jersey during the Notre Dame-Michigan game last night. They were sitting directly behind one of the penalty boxes and appeared at least in the middle of the second period.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2008 - 16 years ago
Went to the Iowa Stars game last night. Sawada was +1 with a holding penalty. No goals or assists tonight. At times, he seemed really with the play and had two really sweet passes to a guy in front that the goalie held on to. Other times, he just skated around and seemed like he didn't know what to do. It seemed like a fair bit of dumping the puck in when he had it rather than using his headby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2008 - 16 years ago
I'm going to the Stars game this evening. Not sure where the seats are, but we'll be sure to wear some red.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: ECAC Consy: Colgate 2 Cornell 4 (final) - 16 years ago
RichHSay what you will about the usefulness of consolation games, but in years like this, I feel very consoled. It was good for me to wash out the bad feelings and have a chance to say "goodbye" to this year's version of the Cornell team, as well as get another look at Colgate's good senior class. And hey, we can now claim to be one of 3 teams in the nation to finish their season wiby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Selection Show - 16 years ago
So Clarkson gets a trip to Albany after all? At least the committee didn't make it easy for Wisconsin. They have to play Denver and then theoretically North Dakota (if the seeds hold).by Chris 02 - Hockey

Who's playing goal for Cornell?by Chris 02 - Hockey
