Did anyone else hear the Maine announcer mention Marr as in goal in second period? Cornell going on PP!by Chris 02 - Hockey

I think a better question for the pre-game question is: Who is going to start in goal for us?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: [OT] Sarah Hughes and Harvard? - 21 years ago
The article mentions a Matt Hughes who attends Ithaca College. Who was the Hughes that was on the hockey team here? And how many children are there in the Hughes family? EDIT: Found it in an old post titled "Little Used Red Players" The Red player was Kelly Hughes.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Odd picture - 21 years ago
The picture included with this weekend's hockey preview on the Cornell athletics website is not from this year....unless someone made a surprise comeback. But I am pretty sure he is part of my class.by Chris 02 - Hockey

3-1!!!!!!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be my last score update. Gotta pick up another '02 Cornellian from the airport.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-Harvard (SUCKS) Score updates - 21 years ago
We are listening to the Harvard announcers, so there is some bias. Cornell definitely sounds like they're dominating the physical portion of the game as they usually do. Shots were 8-6 Cornell in the 1st period. Harvard did have some chances on a PP in the 2nd period (and ended Cornell's perfect penalty kill in the ECAC on Moore's goal in the 1st). The crowd is quite noisy (as always!). Loby Chris 02 - Hockey

Phew! Seems that the crowd was under control. No fish on the ice prior to the second period.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Damn, 1-1 PP goal by Mooronby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: forgotten cheer - 21 years ago
I had the seat in the front corner of B nearest the opposing goalie last year....always made it a point to do the arm waving thing. I never noticed any opposing players paying particular attention. Nor do I recall ever us scoring a goal off of the faceoff. But I NEVER DID IT when Underhill or LeNeveu was at that end. Mostly then, people in the first couple rows would make fun of the opposby Chris 02 - Hockey

Maybe you should move the Live at Lynah CD to a main topic so some band member sees it?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: cornell @ dartmouth 11/16/02 - updates - 3-1 DC 2ndP - 21 years ago
Isn't there an audio broadcast that some people might be listening to? I'm having firewall problems (I think) and can't get the audio. I was getting -408 time out errors.....now reading more posts, it seems like the Darthmouth server can't handle it.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: [OT] Summertime fun - 21 years ago
I'm interesting in playing some street hockey. I have a stick and sneakers, but that's about it. (Actually, come to think of it, I just have an ice hockey stick and not a street one.) I have a old pair of roller blades, but they probably don't fit anymore. I probably could get a friend or two to play as well, but I doubt they have sticks. I don't have any protective equipment so it mightby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: A final poll? - 22 years ago
Nope, no final poll. USCHO had stuff on their web page on March 11th about it being the final poll (just prior to the league championships)by Chris 02 - Hockey
Exhibition game question - 22 years ago
Does anyone know who Cornell played in their exhibition game in the '98-'99 season? TBRW lists Niagara as our first oponent, but I think that was the first game that counted. I think it might have been some Canadian team, but I'm not sure. Any clue as to the score also?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Notes on the Frozen Four (long) - 22 years ago
Hey, Did You Go to Cornell? Turns out the woman who asked me that as I passed her in the concession hallway at the X was Carol Mullins, the women's hockey coach at Cornell. We had a great chat about the men's season, Schafer's feelings on the season, how the women were doing, and what next year might be like. Coach Mullins wasn't just there for the Frozen Four; it turns out she was headed up toby Chris 02 - Hockey

The 3 finalists for the Hobey Baker were announced and Doug Murray is not among them. Maybe next year.....by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Pair of Frozen Four tix available - 22 years ago
Wow, those are expensive! It seemed that as the season went on from Placid, to Worcester the tickets got progressively more expensive. But what's that per seat, per game? Like around $45?? Phew! Anyone know what a typical NHL game charges nowadays?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Game 2: UNH - 22 years ago
Second period was definitely more Cornell than UNH. Cornell played a physical period and held UNH to far fewer shots. I think they had like only 1 till about 5 minutes left in the period, then got a couple on a PP.by Chris 02 - Hockey
