Re: Opponents News 2: Hockey's the Reason for the Season - 6 years ago
ugarte Beeeej Western Michigan's win over St. Cloud State last night was enough to drop St. Cloud's #3 in the PWR much closer to #4 than to #2, and WMU is leading 2-1 in the 2nd tonight. Could be an interesting end to the weekend.the tie to yale dropped us under .6 and the win over brown didn't pick us back up. i really am still in disbelief that clarkson has the #1 team in the country. Re: Cornell vs Union @ Lake Placid 03/17/17 - 7 years ago
I think Union was a one (very good) line team. Take that away and they were a toothless lion.by Drew - Hockey
Re: Clarkson @ Cornell 03/10-3/12?/17 - 7 years ago

Re: Clarkson @ Cornell 03/10-3/12?/17 - 7 years ago
upprdeck much better effort Still after last nights F I woulnt grade this much better than C+. I dont think Clarkson has played all that well we just played so badly in many ways, tonight we got a few shots on net. we finally got an odd man rush and scored. We are really struggling to pass the puck. those offensive zone penalties up 2-0 were killer and almost cost us we play like tby Drew - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ Clarkson 2017-02-18 - 7 years ago
Hooking I was not able to see this game and the comments on the game do not give a clear picture of why Cornell did not defeat Clarkson when they defeated a ranked opponent the previous night? All the numbers and statistics indicate Clarkson should not have been so even a match. Did any one problem stand out, such as defensive strategy, offensive strategy, short depth, or conditioning? It's not pby Drew - Hockey

Re: Full Shields closer to being eliminated - 11 years ago
Usually, it takes a bit longer to pick the puck up when it is in your skates, that is when you get blind sided. BTW, it is rumored that McCarron has decommited from Mich State to join his brother at Cornell.by Drew - Hockey

Robb Drew Heisenberg lists a new recruit, Alex Rauter RW from Choate, for you guys. I also noticed on the same line that former Cornell recruit Steve Miller is now heading to Canisius.....what happened to him? Cheers! Drew He took the money and ran? Ahhh....a "Joker".by Drew - Hockey

Re: What makes a great/bad college hockey jersey? - 12 years ago
css228 Aaron M. Griffin css228 One more note, Clarkson's home whites with the Knight helmet are disappointing. I couldn't agree more. I don't like any of the "cartoon like" sweaters, tUMD, Clarkson, Qpac etc.by Drew - Hockey

Great photo, Bill. Gotta love that guy!by Drew - Hockey
Re: Roll out at Clarkson - 12 years ago
ugarte If you think means that this means that we have to stop making fun of Clarkson coaches you thought wrong. Congratulations Casey Jones. Die. Drop dead. Go to your new home. Nice!by Drew - Hockey
Re: Roll out at Clarkson - Casey Jones a finalist? - 12 years ago
RichH Ouch. Congratulations to Clarkson for getting a quality guy, and also to Casey. I guess 18 years as an assistant/associate is long enough. Hey Rich, I am pretty excited and anxious to see what style of play he dictates. He has certainly paid his dues and deserves a shot as a head coach. From what I understand he has great outgoing personality, it will be interesting whom he hires as assoby Drew - Hockey

Re: Top 50 Players in ECAC Hockey - 13 years ago
Thanks, Al*. When I speak to some Clarkson old timers, the mention of Bullock is almost of "royalty". Either way, impressive group by Tech and Cornell.....should be more to follow. Drew *Not that you are oldby Drew - Hockey
Re: NHL Draft - 13 years ago
Yes, Wisconsin did lose some players late to the NHL. However, it is interesting, Wisconsin went after Dartmouth recruit, Lindblad. Seems that the Badgers like to go after Ivy recruits that don't sign LOI's.by Drew - Hockey
Re: Casey Jones staying at Cornell - 14 years ago
RatushnyFan Is there any way that Clarkson isn't sub .500 next year? No idea....I wouldn't lay a dollar either way. I know that the pitchfork and torch mob is outside Cheel.by Drew - Hockey
Re: Casey Jones staying at Cornell - 14 years ago
pfibiger Mark Osiecki is the new coach at Ohio State. While I'd have loved to see another Cornell grad in a head coaching position, he and his recruiting would have been very difficult to replace. You have to think he'll be on e short list for any ecac openings in the next few years. Harvard? Clarkson goes sub .500 next year, he will be on a very short list....bank on that.by Drew - Hockey

Re: Cornell 5 Clarkson 3, Postgame Thread - 14 years ago
Trotsky PPs were 7 to 4. We don't keep shots on pp, but I'll bet it didn't hurt. Cornell has outscored conference opponents, net, in all six 2-game weekends this season. That's the longest string of consistently good pairs since 9 straight back in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Of course, the 2003, 04 and 05 teams did it 24 straight times. But still, Cornell has been consistent in league play sby Drew - Hockey
Re: Cornell 5 Clarkson 3, Postgame Thread - 14 years ago
Jim, To a degree, much of the reason you were 42-21 on shot differential was that Clarkson was on the PK much of the night, no? Which is what devin was trying to point out ( i believe ). Would you not agree that it is more difficult for the team on the PK to get shots on goal when they are a man down? Either way, I don't think it would have mattered much as we kind of.. sort of.. suck a lilby Drew - Hockey
Re: Clarkson Pregame - 14 years ago
I didn't see two 10 min...I only saw one and that was Marks breaking his stick after what he thought was a questionable call ( he was mistaken). It was a good game and well played, however, we made a few too many mistakes and you capitalized on them. We will see you again in a few weeks. Cheers, Drew PS Oh, and the one I mentioned was not a DQ. Scrivens made some big saves, too.by Drew - Hockey
