Re: NCAA regionals in Springfield - 28 days ago
Greenberg '97 Cornell is on the "home" bench, so Maine will shoot twice towards our section. The better to appreciate Ian Shane, I guess. And it looks like this will be the case tomorrow as well. The arena flipped our seats to the opposite corner (Section 11), and Denver took the "home" bench in the early game, so we'll likely be sitting in the defensive zone for 1 and 3by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Greenberg '97 Jeff Hopkins '82 Greenberg '97 dbilmes The arena website says the parking garage is closed due to construction, so I'm sure parking is going to be fun. Everything I'm reading online says you can park for free at the MGM Springfield, which is an 8 minute walk from the arena. I make no promises, but this is the approach I plan on taking. some pages say parking is free for guestby Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Trotsky Jesus fuck what a drive by DE. That was like Syracuse in the game not to be named. I'd be lying if I said that didn't cross my mind. East Hartford is less than 2 hours away. If only I wasn't scheduled to be at a hockey tournament in Philly that night. Come on, early game!by Greenberg '97 - Other Sports

Greenberg '97 I get the altitude argument, but oxygen had nothing to do with that bit of puck luck. ugartealtitude and oxygen-deficit are the same argument. Yes, I know. I was using the old journalism trick of trying to restate without repeating. Anyway, if Denver was clearly the stronger team in the closing minutes of the game, or if they outlasted UMD into the third overtime, you'd haveby Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Did you see the GWG in that game? Are you proposing the thin air created the ricochet off the end glass and made it easier for the puck to nearly bounce in off the back of Fanti's leg? I get the altitude argument, but oxygen had nothing to do with that bit of puck luck.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Re: Lake Placid roll call - 2 years ago
Greenberg '97 Where did all these Harvard fans come from? Did the one guy reproduce by binary fission? 1-0 Sucks, pending review. Play was onside, not sure what they're looking at. Refs are looking, not linesmen. Good goal.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Scersk '97 Rooting for the Meteor. Thought long and hard about this one. I will root for Sucks, albeit silently, for the two bids. Still going tonight. Go hockey. Son is in championship game tomorrow, which is all that really matters.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

facemadeforradio redice redice The ESPN+ broadcast is lousy today. Audio is up&down in level & video comes & goes. Tbey suck today!!!! I just called ESPN+.... They disconnected my call. I really didn't expect much from them. And they delivered! They clearly do not have their "A" team in LP. It's the Clarkson production team and announcers. marty Greenberg '97 Anyone else going to be there anyway? I was so excited when my son's hockey program picked this weekend to do the Can/Am tournament. BearLover I’m rooting for Q so only one ECAC team makes the NCAAs. Never rooting for Clarkson again after 2018-19 ECAC Championship game. I'm rooting for Colgate for the exact opposite reason. And Clarkson in the second game because Harvard.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

djk26 ugarte CBI? CIT? The Basketball Classic? Anyone have any details? cornellbigred.com says nothing. I thought for sure we'd get invited to one of the "other" tournaments. I know Princeton is going to the NIT. Wikipedia seems to think Cornell was invited, however, there's a one-team discrepancy between that list and this schedule of games, which notes that Wofford's opponentby Greenberg '97 - Other Sports

Jeff Hopkins '82 Roy 82 Two points: 1. Rejuvention spas aside, Providence got to watch Cornell play a game and figure out a strategy that would work against us. They succeeded. 2. WTF is up with their mascot. Is it designed to inflict psychological harm on the vulnerable? yeah, that mascot got a lot of comments at the rink, too. And why do they need two mascots?
