Jim Hyla andyw2100 andyw2100 Anne 85 Good news: Sections have been assigned for in Lake Placid. Cornell is Section 16 (and I was able to buy 2 tickets). Bad news: Looks like Section 16 is now sold out. But there are still plenty of tickets in the Dartmouth and Quinnipiac sections and you don't seem to need a code to access tickets in the corner sections. CU2007 Happened pretty quickly. I bet he just instinctively jumped and then felt foolish shortly afterwards. Can't really disagree, but...watching the replay the player that jumped came from right between Harder and another coach. Either of them could have sent him.by andyw2100 - Hockey

djk26 marty djk26 marty Give My Regards Never seen that before. Woody Hayes play without the punch. What happened? No tv for me, and I doubt whatever it was will be on the highlights (assuming they get posted.) It probably will be in the highlights because a goal was awarded. The power play was winding down. Re: Lake Placid ECAC Championship Tickets - 3 days ago
Anne 85 I think last year the Cornell ticket office provided a code or a link that would let you get tickets in the corners, but the sections aren't assigned until all of the teams have been determined. Thanks! I thought that could be the case. I do remember two years ago we were able to get the code from the athletic ticket office immediately after the game on Saturday night. Anyone have info on what section we'll be in? This is the link to purchase tickets: It looks like there are lots of tickets sold everywhere but the four corners reserved for the schools that make it, and that there are no tickets sold yet in those four corners.by andyw2100 - Hockey

stereax Weder stereax - I think the players on the team who didn't dress for the game today have on silly costumes. Saw a girl dressed as a bear and a girl in a red bodysuit. I think those might have been team alums. I saw most of the players who weren't in the lineup on the ice on the broadcast during the trophy ceremony, and they were all in regular street clothes. That would track. I figureby andyw2100 - Hockey

upprdeck Imagine what the crowd would have been had Cornell not brought so many. I'm guessing Cornell fans made up perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 of the crowd in Hamilton last night. Our band outnumbered their band three or four to one.by andyw2100 - Hockey

VIEWfromK Two wins this weekend and they can totally redeem themselves. And get revenge for 2022, when Colgate came into Lynah for the quarter-finals series and prevented us from advancing to Lake Placid.by andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Yale 03/08 - 8 days ago
VIEWfromK andyw2100 Since Yale had already lost their timeout when they lost the second challenge, if the third review was not a challenge but rather something the refs were reviewing on their own, then had the review not resulted in the major penalty, Yale would not have been hit with a minor penalty. If, in fact, the third review was also a challenge, then Yale was risking a minor penalty. Iby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Women 2024-25 - 8 days ago
Jim Hyla upprdeck Having all 4 women's semis on at the same time does not help with building the game? that's a strange schedule And it's a real bummer that our Regional finals game is at 4. Ending after 6 means you can't get to Colgate for the faceoff. And that probably means reduced turnout for both. If the men win on Friday, do I watch all of the women's on Sat, then leave for Colgatby andyw2100 - Hockey

jtwcornell91 So where do visiting fans sit at StarrClass of 1965 Arena? Hopefully there will be enough of us that anywhere we sit will have other Cornell fans. I'm planning on going Friday night, and Sunday if necessary, but will stay in Ithaca for the women's NCAA game on Saturday. ACM andyw2100 This is a question for ACM. For the firs two Yale challenges of goals, I believe you made an announcement that used the word "challenge." For the third Yale review I believe you used the term "Official Review." Listening from the stands, we thought that perhaps that meant that the Yale bench had convinced the refs to review the play on their own, without it beby andyw2100 - Hockey

ugarte andyw2100 billchu GWG looks like a tip by Georgia Schiff. I thought it went in off a Clarkson player.that's what it looked like to me also but even in slomo it's hard to follow the deflection because the camera is moving (EDIT: definitely off the leg of the Clarkson defender at the top of the crease) Neither of the recaps posted by the schools mention the puck hitting the Clarkson playby andyw2100 - Hockey

Re: Cornell at Union 2/28 - 16 days ago
One thing that I don't think has been talked about much is that the injuries affect things well beyond who is dressed for a game. The injuries had a negative impact on how hard and with what lines the team could practice. I'm guessing the injuries also resulted in a lot of guys playing at 60 or 70%. I'm not suggesting the injuries were all that was responsible to the results thus far this season,by andyw2100 - Hockey

Jim Hyla pjd8 Cornell was robbed of at title in 2020, and sat out 2021. Thanks for bringing us back to 2020. At the end of the year we were projected as a FF team. I wonder how all of this negative discussion would have been if we'd won the ECACs and got to the FF? It wasn't guaranteed, but was reasonable. Give My Regards andyw2100 Is it only regulation wins that count in the tiebreaker? I'm guessing it must be because you say that Cornell, currently with 9, would catch Union, currently with 11, even though Union would be picking up the shootout win. Regulation and overtime wins. Re: Cornell could finish... - 21 days ago
That screenshot from USCHO shows a record of 9-7-4 for 22 points, so that's 2 points for a win and one point for a tie, which as we know is not how the ECAC is computing standings these days.by andyw2100 - Hockey

BearLover Dartmouth is on the road this weekend against Yale and Brown. My understanding is that if Dartmouth gets 4+ points, they win the Ivy outright. If they get 3 points, Cornell and Dartmouth tie for the Ivy. If they get 2 or fewer points, Cornell wins the Ivy outright. CUlater 89 I love seeing/hearing the Pep Band at away games and donate to help them get there. One way the band might contribute beyond just music would be to tap its alumni (or archives/database, if they have one) and learn more about the history of songs and cheers at Lynah, to renew some of the traditions that have slipped away or changed for the worse.
