I am amused that the announcers have at least twice talked about BU not liking to block shots.by andyw2100 - Hockey

BearLover andyw2100 ugarte I don't see us making the pass for their second goal once if the season was 200 games. I guess I am less impressed with that pass than most. Yes, it was absolutely beautiful. But it was also incredibly lucky. I think it was more of a "throw the puck in that direction and hope someone is there" kind of play than an actual intended pass. 49 out of 50 timeby andyw2100 - Hockey

Dafatone My favorite part was that the announcers kept gushing about MSU rolling four lines and winning late on conditioning, and then we outworked them with all four lines in the third. And it was the fourth line that drew the penalty.by andyw2100 - Hockey

Snowball andyw2100 Snowball I was a lifeguard at Teagle in the 80s and I used to "watch over" that test. You wouldn't believe how many students flunked it. I took the lifeguard qualification course at Teagle in the fall of 1982. Any chance you were in that course, Snowball? Ah no. I was qualified before. But I worked at Teagle from about 1983-1985. Did you work there? Nope. Neverby andyw2100 - Hockey

upprdeck would love to see a better replay as to how Quin got caught with so many guys in deep off the faceoff when you just want to protect the lead . Schafer talked about making sure our guys knew that we needed to make a play, (and not just clear the puck out of our end.) He made a point of changing the standard penalty-kill mindset. Guessing Pecknold failed to do the equivalent mind-set chaby andyw2100 - Hockey

scoop85 ugarte VIEWfromK BearLover I agree, that has been my absolute biggest pet peeve all year as well. Way too much hesitating, particularly on the PP. So many times throughout the season it felt like a guy would get into a shooting position on the power play like Rego and then would pull back and reset. Thankfully he had that shooting mentality.Sometimes it's hesitance, a lot of theby andyw2100 - Hockey

scoop85 BearLover Big Dingus What will Bearlover complain about tonight? The ESPN+ broadcast teed up the replays too late and lacked either the awareness or the technology to cut them off before play resumed. Several times over the course of the game, play began while viewers were still being show the replay of the prior play. Al DeFlorio andyw2100 Here's a relatively minor dig at Pecknold from Schafer in the weekend recap he sent out this morning to whomever gets those. Talking about the empty net goal: "I couldn’t believe they had four forwards on the ice because their coach had to know we would pull the goalie." I'm thinking Mike was talking about Kovich's SHG. There was no ENG in the Q game. My mistby andyw2100 - Hockey

The end of this game was so similar to the 2003 final against Harvard (my favorite Cornell game in over 40 years of watching Cornell hockey) in a lot of ways. More on the line than usual. (It was Harvard, and they had beaten us in the finals the year before in double OT / Schafer's last season.) Almost miraculously tie it with little time left. Win it in OT at the other end of the rink from whereby andyw2100 - Hockey
