The latest I hear is that the BU-Cornell game at MSG is on for Saturday, 11/24/07.

No word yet if the Big Red will have their own float for the Macy's Parade.

ooooooooo...

< fingers crossed >

That's not a parade float, that's coach Schafer's gigantic head.

Thanksgiving in CT, what a wonderful thought. My brother and his wife will definitely welcome me home, especially if I cook the Thanksgiving dinner :-) .
Will duly note this in my 2007 calendar.

Where does one go to hear such a rumor?

Here, apparently. :-P
Is next year here yet?

Mark

I got the info from somebody close to the BU program, and it really is not a rumor at this point. It is set to happen. And as far as I have been told, the two teams will also play a home-and-home series the following two seasons, but I'm not sure who will host the first year and who will host the second.

Didn't Mike Eaves say something along the lines of wanting to schedule a game with Cornell after they played in the NCAA's?

I like the idea of having a competitive opponent over Thanksgiving :)

So I guess you enjoyed last Thanksgiving ;-)

Touche.  I'll amend to define "competitive" as "anywhere in the polls."

Nov. 28, 2005 poll: http://www.uscho.com/rankings/?data=uscho1m&season=20052006&week=1128

and March 20, 2006: http://www.uscho.com/rankings/?data=uscho1m&season=20052006&week=0320

Yes, I had to look them up to make sure my definition would not be picked apart again :)

There's an interesting season preview with Jack Parker available as a podcast. If you don't want to listen to the whole preview, there's an interesting sequence where Parker talks about strength of schedule and mentions that next year they're playing Michigan, going to Alaska to play North Dakota, and will be playing Cornell in MSQ on Thanksgiving weekend. BU radio broadcaster, Bernie Corbett, chuckles "Big Red on Broadway." Not bad.

For this fanbase...even better. I did enjoy, however, hearing the BU radio guy say "Big Red" during the interview. Talk about a potential sea of red.
