Not very complimentary

This is what a coach said in his analysis of the UW-Maine game:

"The Badgers struggle to score. If they hadn't played Cornell in the Midwest Regional final, they probably would've lost. They played a physical game against Cornell, but you're not going to out-physical Maine."

That is not very complimentary to our team.  Which coach would know enough about the teams to say that?

Take it in the sense that Cornell had the least potent offense among the tourney's genuine contenders.  It's difficult to argue with that.

Now, the coach isn't making the obvious connection between Wisconsin's inability to score during the first five periods and Cornell's excellent defense and goaltending, but we can chalk that up to his intellectual ineptitude, not animus.

I think it is safe to say that Cornell and Wisconsin are the only two elite teams that could play for 100 minutes without scoring a goal. They are probably also the only two elite teams that have a chance at keeping any of the other elite teams from scoring for 100 minutes.

Couldn't find any "Knights" on the Badger roster, so my prediction is...

Earl takes Bishop.  Checkmate.

So I guess Wisconsin had a lot of trouble with Maine, like that coach predicted.   ::screwy::
