Doesn't even matter if we beat them or not - well, it does of course, but not as far as their RPI affects ours. Rooting for NU right now is a good idea. And while we don't know if we'll play Maine or Minn-Duluth, a side routing to either of them isn't a bad idea.

I don't have mathematical proof, but I get the feeling that other ECAC teams winning OOC games is more important than other teams we play winning their other games. After all, each time an ECAC team wins an OOC game, it not only helps us, but every other team in the ECAC, which therefore helps us more. Not that there are many OOC games for a while.

very true.  what surprises me in looking at the early RPI rankings (on siouxsports) is that our OOP % is so high so early (highest in the country)...  (however our OP% is low)

so at least that means the ECAC has scheduled some tough games early so far...
