Word on the street (and by "the street", I mean the USCHO message board) is that Stan Moore has left Colgate to become assistant coach (or perhaps associate head coach?) at Providence, under new head coach Tim Army.  Apparently Moore and Army go back a ways, coaching together previously at Providence and Brown.

Thoughts?  Is this good news for us?
Is next year here yet?

Well, it can't be bad. Colgate has gotten very good under his watch. Then again, it *can* be bad as I'd love a strong ECAC, even if that means Colgate. Hopefully there's someone else out there who can keep the ECAC with 6 potentially strong teams - Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, Colgate, Clarkson, and SLU.

Wasn't Don Vaughan back as Colgate's head coach last year?

I believe that Stan Moore was acting head coach two seasons ago when Don Vaughan was acting Athletic Director for a year.  This past year, Don was back behind the bench.
