Reports are that he has signed with Philadelphia...I'm guessing that means the Phantoms?  Anyways, haven't seen it anywhere but it should be popping up soon.

Current Phantoms include Freddy Meyer (Boston University), R.J. Umberger (Ohio State), Randy Jones (Clarkson), Patrick Sharp (Vermont), Tony Voce (Boston College), Eric Meloche (Ohio State), and Neil Little (Rensselaer).

Don't forget that the Flyers own Hyphen's rights, too.

Not that he'll get any time with the big club once they start playing again.  Clarkie's said that Niittymaki would be starting for the big club if the strike hadn't happened.

From a credible source, Cook will be leaving school in the next few days to head to Philadelphia to join the Phantoms. No word on his graduation status.

He'll proabably just finish up this summer.

Congrats to Charlie.  I would not have figured him as having a chance at a pro career.  Just shows how far he (and the other seniors) came in the course of the last 4 years.

This is, IMHO, the most improved *class* over the course of their tenure at Cornell that I have ever seen.

Imagine if Lenny had stayed... I wonder what numbers a much improved Lenny would have put up...   (not a slight to McKee in any way).

first of all - i think im going to miss Charlie Cook as much as we all have missed Doug Murray and company.
Second of all, in case y ou haven't noticed, McKee's numbers are better than Lenny's numbers.  McKee faced alot more shots, and proved his worth.
Remember, with guys like Hornby and Baby, and Murray out there, wingers were seeing alot of glass, and not much net.

Anything public on this yet?  No sign of it on the Phantoms or Trenton Titans webpages.

I could be wrong, but wasn't there some sort of rule about undrafted players not being able to join teams in the middle of seasons, or perhaps during the middle of playoffs?
Is next year here yet?

Cook is definately gone. I believe he left on Friday and is going supposed to play for the Phantoms, not the Titans.

The AHL has had to declare playoff rosters, but it's not the AHL playoffs. However, the point of that was usually to fix the NHL/AHL breakdown. When the parent club gets knocked out of (or doesn't make) the NHL playoffs, it almost always gives your team a boost, but the point is to limit that. And I bet from the player's side, the union doesn't want a ton of guys sent down just cause they have nowhere else to play, even if they are eligible.

But anyway, with no NHL this year, I don't know if they'll need to bother doing that. But it's kinda a moot point anyway. The AHL regular season goes until April 17th, so any college players will certainly have finished their season and had time to sign by then.
