I disagree, if this kid even might have a psych problem, you don't want to put him over the top. Think about your own kid, if he was having trouble would you want someone else to harass him and make him lose it.[/q]
not to mention the 8,000+ minnesota fans sitting all around you ::uhoh::
i still think we should leave this alone.

What was the situation?  I saw the video feed but don't know what was going on...

Some UVM fans on USCHO called Cornell fans low class. They were being prudish whiners.

This, however... this would be low class.

How exactly were we being prudish whiners?
Is next year here yet?

The UVM fans that were complaining were. Complaining about the usage of the word 'sucks' and that the cheers were 'negative' and all the typical stuff from people who don't understand that college hockey is actually fun ;)

If I were a fan of a different team, I would hate us.

I'm not, so I don't.

Big deal.

USHR reports that he will not return to the lineup this weekend and they speculate that the film The Passion of the Christ has had a profound impact on his actions.  This thing just gets weirder and weirder.

It seems to be a moot point now, but if he played, I don't see why he shouldn't be fair game. If Hirsch, his family, and his doctors are ok with him playing, there has to be some accountability to go with that. If there really is a problem, he shouldn't be playing. Should we not pick on anyone on the off chance we might exacerbate some nascent condition. It would be horribly irresponsible to let him play if there's a problem, and that's where the culpability ends.

As another example, if a guys sister committed suicide, would you think it OK to taunt him about that? Now those are just examples but I hope you get my idea. It reminds me of some of our fans who were booing HVD after we had beaten them. In poor taste, IMHO.

That's better than the USCHO poster who thought he was exercising the demons.

If a guy has a funny looking apple, is it ok to make fun of his oranges? I don't think we're talking depression here. Either he checked his marbles at the door or he's just an idiot. I don't think it's the latter, so I don't think he should be playing, since it was a hockey game that made him snap.

I am so tempted to say something funny from the movie The Exorcist , but I'll refrain myself....

Like all, I really hope he's going to be okay...
