My guess would be they're drawing the best coverage.
that's always going to be true of a team's best players but the good ones get theirs because they are better than the opposition.

for example, Matt Childs had 10 catches against us, lining up inside, outside and in the backfield. These guys were drawing the top coverage in earlier years too - that's why they were preseason AAs - but GBS can't or won't throw the passes that got them on the map.

So many missed opportunities on offense-the lack of execution on key plays-the coaches and players have lot to think about.

A nice little capper to our choke job at Brown? Lehigh losing a second straight game, at Villanova. The way they lost was particularly embarrassing: giving up a sack on third down inside the 5 with under 10 seconds to play, no timeouts and down by six.

Yale lost to Penn as well. So much for our signature wins!

Still want to finish the season strong but that fourth quarter has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Here is a stat that drives me nuts.   Cornell had 42 passing attempts vs. 32 rushing attempts.   However, that figure is skewed as GBS had 10 of those rushes for a net of only 14 yards.   If you look at the history of Cornell football, our three Ivy League titles were behind a strong running game.   1971 - Ed Marinaro  1988 - Scott Malaga 1990 - John McNiff/Scott Oliaro

Cornell's Jordan Triplett rushed for over 9,000 yards in high school in the State of Georgia.   He's probably one of the best running back recruits for Cornell in many years, but he averages less than 10 carries per game.  We also have a pretty good offensive line and they are good run blockers.   Give Triplett the ball 20 plus times and I can almost guarantee you we will win time of possession, which means a big "W" on the score board.   Run the ball!   What do we have to lose???
