Our other loss was to Colgate (19) who lost on the final play of the game to Harvard (17).

Do we have a sniff at also receiving votes?  There are 128 FCS teams, 39 of which received at least 1 vote last week.  Are we in the top 30%?

One could argue for 75 years.
Personally, I could argue forever...

I think if we run the table we'll be getting more than courtesy votes. we may get a few this week just from beating Lehigh and (QB-deprived) Yale, especially given how well we played Colgate in the second half. We even scored 12 points more than Colgate did against Harvard. This is a fun season and IIRC, the Ivies put two teams in the FCS tournament last year.

We're 3-2 and all of our games except G'town were against ranked opponents. Not counting chickens but the clucks and peeps are ASMR.

We were freezing during the tailgate and then Cornell takes the opening kick-off drives the offense for it's first score.   It was like the sun came out and Cornell never looked back.  Every time Lehigh threatened we just kept scoring touchdowns!   Congrats to the team and coaching staff.   GBR!!!

We're #35!  9 points in today's poll, which makes us unranked, but 35th if you want to look at it that way, and officially "RV."

According to Google, Cornell has never been ranked in the FCS poll; most recently RV in September 2009.

We play the bottom 4 teams and Princeton.  In a perfect world does winning out get them an At large bid?

I guess hoping Lehigh runs the table would help. They play Colgate and Richmond thats 2 teams ahead of us.

then need a team Like N. Ariz who is high ranked while also not beating anyone needs to lose a couple

and teams like Monmouth/Campbell/Bryant need to have one take over and the others falter.

Cornell hasn't gone 6-1 in the Ivy League in 35 years.

With 3 of the final five games being away games, (and Cornell historically doesn't play all that great away), I think it's a stretch to think they win out. I would be happy if I'm wrong though.

Little did I know as a freshman celebrating the home win over Penn? to tie for the Ivy title that I would not see another many times let alone none at all.

Way to go GBS, aka Bito!

Worry about the rankings at the end of the season.  Cornell plays at Brown this week and then at Princeton the following, so those are two very tough road games.   It's the Ivy League where every game is fairly evenly matched.  That's why I love Ivy League football.   GBR!!!

do not lecture me! getting votes is cool. Sure, it's ephemeral, but it's definitely nice to see nine or fewer voters take notice of our plucky squad. dare to dream of a 53-3 loss to North Dakota State in December.

ND state moved up to FBS this year, but your point is valid to me.

Yeah, NoDakState even has a bit of a shot at the FBS playoffs.

My dream is the 53-3 loss at Montana State, as I live within walking distance of the MSU football stadium.
