MSU has 17 draft picks including 9 first rounders. Don't know how we're supposed to compete with that. The best players commit/transfer to the top conferences to play against better talent, which creates a vicious cycle of the top conferences perpetually improving and the weaker conferences perpetually getting worse. The CHL opening up to college exacerbated this. We unfortunately need to root for other ECAC teams to improve so that the conference profile improves somewhat.
