The Ivies had a good season in 2025-26 and I expect them to improve further in the next few years. They're one of the few subsets of schools that isn't in total disarray in the new college hockey environment.

The Ivies are recruiting well, they have young new coaches, and their schools aren't on the verge of going bankrupt like most of the schools playing D1 hockey. Maybe most importantly, almost no one transfers out thanks to the value of the degree.

Whether the other Ivies improving is good for Cornell specifically is hard to say. If Cornell is after the same pool of recruits, then it's probably bad for us.

Sure helps the sos if Brown and Yale get a dead cat bounce out of the cellar.  It's really only those two who have been consistently bad recently, and obviously Yale is historically generally pretty to very good.  Plus the pizza.

While both teams have new coaches, I'd expect Yale to ramp up quicker than Brown based on a better recent history.

According to some idiots' voting, Cornell would have 3 of 12 all-USA freshmen (in two teams), more than any other ECAC school:
Arend 1st team, Tuminaro 1st team, Wehmann 2nd team.

This means nothing, really, except that we seem to be recruiting okay.
