Snow should start Sunday morning. No reason anything on Saturday should be affected.

The FLX weather site does predict the snow will start as early as Saturday evening, but also predicts minimal early accumulation. So I agree there's no reason to start the game earlier. (As if anyone is going to consult me!)

Saturday Night
What: Widespread snow begins

Impacts: Low-Moderate

There will be only a short window of time between the lake effect dissipating Saturday evening as winds temporarily go calm and widespread snow moving in. Most areas should see an onset of the snow sometime late in the evening or overnight. At first, I expect the snow to be fine with small flakes, so by Sunday morning, there may only be a couple inches on the ground. The timing of the onset is still a bit uncertain. Temperatures should drop back into the mid 0s for a time, but may start to rise slightly by sunrise.

Yeah, if there's a lot of snow on the ground by the time the Harvard game is over, I might need to sleep over at the rink 😂 Or at minimum haul ass to Myron Taylor and ride out the storm there.

But I heard the storm's hitting Sunday, so that's good for us...

I'm flying to Syracuse tomorrow and coming to the games this weekend -- bringing my 10th grader. Scheduled to fly back to FL Sunday around 11. Not feeling great about getting out of Syracuse on Sunday, though I guess there aren't a lot of airports better equipped to deal iwth it.

Hey, if your flight's messed up, you can always go to the Ikea in Syracuse! 😂

But for real, if it's as bad as expected, you might be grounded until Monday. Not just the snow in Syracuse, but also the storm you'd have to fly through.

Yeah, flying is going to be an absolute mess, likely well into next week. All the flight cancellations have that rolling effect of planes and crews not being in the right places, etc.

the women are on the road so i wouldn't be shocked if they decide to move the game up so harvard can avoid a late night bus trip in the snow.

or, and consider this:

Fuck Harvard.

ok but for real I would not be opposed to moving the game earlier if it means the Harvard team doesn't have to bus through that kind of weather and be in danger. but I suspect that'll be called tomorrow if anything due to still not knowing where the storm is going to hit. and if it does get moved we're gonna hear for ages about how the Harvard game wasn't packed and Lynah is slowly becoming a grave. or whatever.

Would be a big mistake to move this game. The bus will undoubtedly be fine if they leave the night of the game and they could even probably get away with leaving early sunday morning. It's hockey, snow is part of the fun.

snow is fun but driving in a blizzard is not

No way Ned would have moved it unless it was to 8.  Casey?
