45 seasons and I still have not caught candy.  You have thrown it directly to me at least a dozen times.  A couple times little kids pulled the dog frisby theft.  The rest I fumbled.

I am a sieve.

You have to get him one on one in the concourse so that when he hits you in the chest it drops down in front of you and you can corral the piece.

Quote from: BearLover on December 04, 2025, 10:48:48 AMI was impressed at the size of the crowd at MSG—looked like a true sellout-but the energy was lacking. Very little noise from either fan base, but most of what I heard was from the BU fans. Almost no Connell cheers or chants. The event has become a major alumni social event with a hockey game going on in the background.

If you were expecting frequent Lynah-like chants, that just doesn't happen with the larger-but-less-fanatical fan base at MSG games. But the Cornell fans present were plenty loud from where I was sitting, and the section nearest the pep band certainly tried to get some of the standards going. (The pep bandie reading his "your [blahblah] called" rant from a script on his phone didn't quite have what it takes, and was oblivious to the need to pause for other noise, but I admired the effort.)
The energy seemed better to me in past years. I remember some very loud "LGR" chants in past editions of RHH, particularly when we were tied or down by a goal late, that never came this year.

I was behind the drunk girls taking selfies and spilling vodka sodas on each other. Good times.

What's the joke about Mechanical Engineers?  Scrupulously correct yet utterly missing the point?

I'm curious to see what sort of reception Casey receives. For me, I wouldn't be upset with a college coach leaving to go to his alma mater, although if the fans choose to boo him I wouldn't hold it against them, especially given he left them for a conference foe.

Trotsky

Clarkson will give him a big ovation unless things have really changed there.  The North Country always had the most hockey savvy fans in the East.

Jim and I have been at about 300 common games in our lives.  He has hit me so many times from so many angles with no positive result I am thoroughly embarrassed.

The Clarkson band had worked unflattering remarks about Casey into their chants.  I bet it's a mixed reception

When did the band do this?  Lake Placid,  Lynah or Cheel? Last year?
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Casey already returned as a visiting coach last season.

But that's a thing you do.  It's all in fun except the childish assholes who take it seriously.  As with everything in sports.

If someone can explain to me what exactly putting DeSantis with Catalano and Wallace is supposed to accomplish, I would be grateful... I thought the point of our fourth line as constructed was to be "Certified Boy-Meat" (Snowball's words, not mine) and to outmuscle/outgrind other teams. How exactly does DeSantis work there?
