Big old Anti-Harvard section

So, in response to Harvard screwing us over for tickets, a few of us in Boston have decided to give them exactly what they are asking for, a large group of extremely pissed off Cornell fans at four games.  So far I have 12 people definitely in and am trying to collect more so we have a nice little section.  If you want to join in on the complete four game package, please drop me a note, john.beaber@tufts.edu.  I'll be ordering the tickets soon.

Don't give them the satisfaction - and your money.  Find a Harvard alum to buy you tickets after their Princeton game.

I hardly think they would be satisfied to see Lynah East 4 times a year.

Tito Short!

I don't recall the ticket package but if you want a real impact,  have Lynah East going strong on their Senior Night. As it has been mentioned in other places, Senior Night can be a big recruiting tool. What better way to sour a player who is undecided by showing them that they get abused in their own Barn.

Oooh...I like this idea.  When is their senior night?

Is next year here yet?

Probably Feb 28 against Vermont.

I wish I was in Boston to help you guys out with this... but more power to ya. Give 'em exactly what they're asking for!

nyc94

True.  But when Princeton and RPI get blanked, it may be hard to keep the noise level up.  I like the Senior Night idea more.

Keith K \'93

Why would Princeton getting blanked make it hard to root against Harvard.  It's not like they would be beating our team.  A good Cornellian anti-Crimson fan shouldn't be daunted or depressed by a few Harvard goals or missed opportunities by the visitors.

RedAR

Well, I refuse to buy the package, and the 4 tickets that I will be able to buy are already spoken for, but if anyone buys the package and needs to get rid of the other tickets, I'll be more than happy to take them.

Rob \'98

I hope this is the start of a whole new tradition ::rock::

nyc94

Of course it is easy to root against Harvard.  I'm just saying that if the idea here is to be seen and heard there will likely be few "traditional noise making opportunities" if Princeton gets shut out say, 6-0.  "Sieve" isn't so effective if Princeton doesn't score.  That's not to say these guys won't be creative.

There's always the option of doing what a bunch of us did in the NC$$ finals last year - root for Cornell.  No matter how bad it gets for the Tigers, a cheer of Lets Go Red is always appropriate...

nyc94

True.  I was thinking the same thing earlier.  This would be especially good if they had any recruits present that Cornell was also interested in.

Adam

I think ya gotta do both.  Pour it on against the Crimson, but also interject random Big Red cheers.

Oh, and make sure to remind them that your section is but a mere taste of what they're in for on January 9th.

Also, you might e-mail USCHO with your idea here.  They'll probably have little to write about in their ECAC column this early in the season and might give you some press for this.
