sigh. incomplete for Cornell on 3d and 4th before Columbia goes over the top with the wind for ~75 yards then scores from the 2 with :03 left in the quarter.

Yale keeping things interesting.

Yale 21 Harvard 7 3rd

Al DeFlorio

Taking more time to snap in the third would have put Columbia into the wind.  Harvard coaches were masters of using the clock when Harvard Stadium turned into a wind tunnel, as often happened in the fall.  Run plays as fast as possible with the wind to lengthen the quarter.  Kill the clock when going into a strong wind to shorten the quarter.

The Columbia color guy is as annoying as any of my high school classmates.  My god I don't miss the Island.

Lions are lurching towards a share of the Ivy title.  Good for them.

Incredible- how does Wang expect a completion in a double team?

Brutal DPI on 4th and 1. 2:14 to go. Columbia up 14-6 with the ball on the Cornell 5. Cornell used a couple of TOs

Not sure what's been worse—his decision making or execution.

Wang's had a wonderful career, but today will not be included in his highlight reel.

Quote from: rss77Questionable pass interference call on that one.
For uncatchable, yeah, but the DB lost the ball and ran into the receiver.

Columbia gets a three way tie for the Ivy Championship.  Cornell with a good a recruiting class has something to build on this season at least.

A few quibbles but generally satisfied with Swanstrom's 1st season. In the Ivy games we were only seriously outplayed by Harvard, and as Ken says it seems the talent pipeline is improving. The league is about as balanced as it's ever been, and if we get a competent QB to replace Wang we should be able to compete year-in-year out.

Next season's schedule will be more difficult, with 4 Ivy away games and an away game at Albany. Looking forward to a good offseason of conditioning and Spring practice.

I thought Swanstrom was great. I watched the game while talking to the special teams coordinator's brother and father and it was fun to see yet another effective fake field goal.

I'll miss what Wang brings to the offense but this was a tough game to go out on. Two awful interceptions and a handful of passes where he missed open receivers at critical times. I'm sure it was tough to throw in the wind but ... damn.
